I think Bangalore is the costliest city to live in India - Road tax is 14.3% + pay for Tolls, Petrol ~66/Lt, Movie ticket price upto Rs.1000 - I assume highest compared to any state in India. For everything Government charges tax, but i wonder where do they utilize the tax amount- Swiss bank account??? [sad]

Yes fuel prices are really scary now! Its Rs.63 per litre in Chennai!


I planned to have a Petrol car as my next car but now i dont think i will ever buy a petrol car!

I got 1000rs xtra premium petrol filled up today in my swift, quantity was 16.4L.

Rates are soaring :(

Petrol- 65.60/ litre.[anger] in Bangalore.

Sure, we’re quite fortunate but like Shailinder said in some other post, even this much feels a lot. Wonder how others are managing in different locations? If this continues, soon I might have to switch to an alternate fuel. On a lighter note, the sales of Reva will finally pick up! :biggrin:

Based on the predictions of crude oil prices the price of petrol is expected to go upto Rs .80 within 6 months . Just hope i am proved wrong

This is the 6th time in the year of 2010 petrol prices hike. Central Government don't have control on petroleum companies.

@mukeshus, I had read in newspaper that the oil companies are now incurring a loss of Rs. 2.75 to 2.85 per ltr.

So, like you said a 4 re hike seems more possible in the near future!
Bad news for us all!
