It was the last weeks price hike which made me swear not to even think of buying a Petrol car ever, thanks to our Government

there is no doubt the cost would increase upto 100.

Agreed. With this rate of increase, i am afraid the prices may touch upto 80/litre soon, may later this year!

Well, the government has decontrolled the prices of petrol and we are starting to see the effects of that.
But now with Jairam Ramesh's recent stands against diesel guzzling vehicles, I believe decontrol of the price of diesel is also on the cards.
God save us lesser mortals!

Oh not again.

Basic price is around 25 for petrol and 28 for diesel.
these taxes makes petrol costlier

And the barrel price is too gonna increase in few day.
so expect another 15rs hike
may be i am wrong , it may be 20 or 25 .


Govt should deregulate the price of diesel too. It will after some couple of meets .
all prices will be rocket high.
all commodities will be high price.
there will be strike all over.
no one can survive. and finally all must die. that is what our govt want us to do

Govt should deregulate the price of diesel too. It will after some couple of meets .

You can drive in cng 100% , as you drive a car designed for petrol , you may and will need petrol for sure.

Petrol price increase , indirectly increase in your expence.

Just a small case , say the milk man , near by grocery store , transport their good from market by say a tvs 50 / xl super , scooty ,activa etc.
Wont they increase the price a bit?
Doesnt the bus/lorry driver own up 2 wheeler , so they wont they demand salary hike , wont this increase a margin in bus and lorry transport etc??

Petrol price has direct affect on petrol car/bike owners immediately and slow effect on others , No matter even if you own a the best fuel efficient multijet engine.
and Diesel price increase have adverse effect immediately , that is the difference.


Govt claims that they use the tax for various purpose ,
do they bother about the black money?
Recent scams?It was in some lack crore (one of the scam)
I really dont know how many zero to represent it in figure.
Lack has 5 zero and crore has 6 zero i hope . is that a total of 11 zero followed after a digit.
The news is suppressed now i hope. Where goes the money. and i am paying for the loss.

Diesel owners , dont feel you are saving , it may be smoothing for the time being , but it affects you too


I keep paying , they keep filling in govt money and rest saving in swiss bank.
I am clown to my prime minister and his cabinet.
He is sleeping tight in his room and i am calculating my budget .
Only if vibhor allowed bad language here , damn

Well on seeing the current situation, I am planning to buy a bicycle.

Can someone please advice me on it like geared/less and with what suspension please.

Went to cycle store hmmm some couple of hike before.
Normal stylish ones were 3500/- geared one were near 6 to 7k.

Rs.63/- for a liter of regular petrol here in Mumbai. A liter of Speed now costs Rs.66/-. Petrol car owners are being harassed! Going at this rate, one day we shall be discussing whether we should buy a kilo of "Onions" to cook or travel 14 kms on a liter of petrol!

Now, where's that ethanol-powered Bentley Continental Supersports again? I am sure that it will be much cheaper to run than a petrol Figo, as alcohol is now MASSIVELY cheaper than petrol, at Rs.65/- a liter/gallon/peg/whatever it is measured in

But here the cost of Regular 65.4 Rs.
Then premium Petrol costs close to 69, Almost 70/- .
Looks like Govt companies are in competiton with Shell.
Shell is already selling Diesel for 48.5 Rs long back.

Filled Petrol at Shell today.
It was 64.45 Rs/litre.
1 Re less than other bunks.
Will keep on continuing till the price hike by shell.

OMG i have started using govt transport to transport me from my home to office. It is cheaper than petrol. All my 3 babies are packed and lying in my garden. Not even planning to take them for a weekend drive.

And a question to my friend Ilango: Do upgrading to LPG in my Ikon a better bet?
