The car is looking better already!

But what are those blemishes/pockmarks on the C-pillar? They look quite serious.
hi viru, well its the joint patch between roof and rear side/boot of the car, as the body is old so it looks very odd but no problem it will be covered by body filler.

He put primer before filler? [surprise] Make sure he sprays another coat of primer on any panels with filler on them, otherwise the paint might not adhere evenly along the panel! It would be a shame if the job was let down by this detail.

step 3 PU body filler +PU primer
step 3 MC Putty(full body) + surfacer/ primer
step 4 Base coat + MC putty(if necessary for minor scratches /dents)

Hi HKS2412, is this restoration done at Bangalore ? If yes I would love to have a look at it.
Hi varun, the work is undergoing in Chickballapur town, 45km from Bangalore ( Bangalore-Hyderbad NH7 highway) just 40min drive from Hebbal. you can plan for a short weekend drive and can visit the garage[;)]

Oh, that's a very thorough job! [clap]

I'm guessing at least 3 weeks to complete it?

Hi, updates on paint work..

laying PU body filler to the body is started from rear right side of the car, the painter informed me that he will do piece by piece body filling work(one side at a time) considering the age of the car, no matter how much tinker had tapped the dents during his part of work need to checked again and level the uneven surface from one end to other, the body filling work is scheduled as below

stage1:applying body filler on right part of the car which include rear side of boot, rear and front door, B pillar, water channel, front mudguard + sanding + applying/spraying PU primer on it

stage 2: Left part- front mudguard, front and rear door, water channel, B pillar and left side of rear boot + sanding + applying PU Primer

stage 3: bonnet , roof, A pillar, C pillar and rear boot + Sanding + applying PU primer

HI HKS2412,
Try to cover the Tyre too as like the engines else tell the painters to take care of that. Because my Tyres got white color due to carelessness of the painter.

Great work. I think it is coming out very well. BTW, how the final car would looks like. Like your profile pic HKS2412?
Thank you sethumurgan for the comments, well the final output will be same as Ambassador Grand model only fender indicator, ORVM and wheel arches is custom made, my profile picture is DC designed Amberiod II which has entirely different front end, roof and extended chassis

its come out smooth, you have got a good painter who listens to you. in case i have seen the painter will have his own old style of using primer and they wont listen to our techniques regarding what primer to use etc .
