In line with a previous report, Venkatram Mamillapalle, CEO and Managing Director, Renault India, has said in an interview with ET Auto that the company's next launch has been programmed to take place in July 2019. With this, it gets clear that the Renault RBC MPV isn't too far in the offing.

Renault India will be announcing the official production name of its upcoming MPV codenamed RBC today. The French auto major is on a rough patch lately as the Kwid’s sales are not as consistent as it used to be. The small hatchback was a regular feature in the top ten monthly sales chart back in 2017 but it does not appear to be the case anymore due to the increase in competition.

The answer is Triber. Yes, that is the name of Renault’s new car for India. Renault Triber name was officially revealed today. Along with the same, the company has also launched Renault Triber website – The Renault TRIBER | Be the tribe.

Called the Triber, the new MPV’s production version has just been spied testing for the first time on Indian roads. The spyshots reaveal that the Triber will get a tall-boy form factor but will be quite compact in terms of length, ducking under the 4 meters mark for excise duty benefits. The Renault Triber MPV will rival the likes of the Maruti Eeco and the Datsun Go+ in terms of price and positioning. It’s likely to be slightly pricier than the Renault Kwid, with which it’ll share its platform, engines and gearboxes.

The Triber seen in this video was parked on a roadside. It is the same test mule that was spotted a few days back on the Indian roads and was caught on camera. The Triber name has been officially revealed by the manufacturer in India but the exact launch date is not known. However, the 7-seater MPV is expected to be launched before the end of this year.

Datsun Go+ but this should be better than that as per reports.

Why is the rear look so jacked up? And the step roof, to provide for the 3rd row I suppose.
The only positive from the text, the 3rd row seats are removable, to free up boot space.
The taillights remind me of Tata Movus.
