Quicktip: How to Wash your car in one bottle of water & very little time & effort.

Steps:

1. Take a new/old filled/empty Colin Clean and Shine bottle.
2. If it is a new/filled colin bottle remove the spray pump cap & put a regular coke/limca/sprite plastic bottle cap onto it which fits exactly to close it shut. Then fill the other empty clean softdrink plastic bottle with clean water and put the spraypump cap on it. (If the colin bottle is empty you can fill that itself with clean water)
3. Spray half of the bottle of water uniformly all over the surface of the car & wipe it clean with a clean soft cloth.
4. Spray 2nd time the remaining water all over the surface of the car & wipe it clean with a NEW/second clean soft cloth. You are basically done.[:D]
5. You can use the steps for the inside of the car as well except floor mats which always need more water to wash.

Observations: Saves lot of water, time & effort![:D]

Click here if you don't know what a colin bottle is.

I did not see any thread with quick tips so started a new thread, admins please move to such a thread if one exists.
I have been using the same technique for last two years. [:D]

1) I have two bottles.
2) In one I fill water with some shampoo mixed.
3) Spray and soak the car
4) Wipe the car
5) Spray water again from second bottle which contains only water and the wipe it again.

Useful for me as I park on road and in hot Chennai summers water scarcity is a big problem. Use this way to save water as well.

I have tried this before. Also tried another method of Wiping the car with WET MICROFIBER cloth[lol]. Whats my observation is both are good enough to remove those loose dust particles. But still it need finishing wipe to remove all those dirty water stains and they are not at all good enough to remove strains, since it is just the water we should not apply pressure to remove those stains which may results in scratches/swirls.

Later I started using cheap waterless washing solution which made washing really cool.

Materials required are a sprayer(me too using colin sprayer bottle) and microfiber cloth.
Here whats the advantage is just with 500ml of water +10ml washless liquid, I could wash my car nearly 4 times.[clap] and 2-3 times if its too dusty(My car is A-star).

Cleaning the mats are also very easy. To remove loose dust particles I begin with brushing the mats, so waterless washing can be followed for the mats as well.

Try some waterless washing products, you will understand whats the real method of saving water.

Re: Quicktip: How To Wash Your Car in One Bottle Water.

i think originally idea is good if you do proper dusting with jopasu duster and when in hurry. instead of plain water add little soap oil .
Basically ONR or water-less rinse product do same .
i will get back more when receives my Indian ONR.
Buy Proklear Xtreme after ONR bottle over
ONR is also very good
Raw xtreme only one time used 5 ml into 500ml of water in spray bottle.

How To Wash Your Car in One Bottle Water?
The quick answer is the following machine. It need less than one bottle water. Pressurized water steam is used, and wipe using cotton clothes. Less water is used in this case.

This one bottle water method of washing car on heavily dusted car (two or more days of accumulated dust) will definitely induce fine scratches/swirls and subsequently dull color over a period of time. On lighter colored cars like white and silver, scratches or swirl marks would not be visible early and easily ( though they they would be there) than darker colors.

It might not be that much harmful if done on daily basis after using some quality duster.

I am also using Proklear Rinse less Wash using two bucket wash method with 3 to 4 MF towels once a week and Jopasu Duster on daily basis to dust off.

This is recommended by Manufacturer itself. The accumulated dust can be blower-ed away using blower option. The machine is having features and combinations of compressed air vs steamer. Definitely, this steam cleaner is having limitations also. Heavy slush will not be removed. The machine is used indoor, as showed in the other photo. No water spills on floor.

I was talking about method used by OP not mentioned by you. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
