Re: Quicktip: How To Wash Your Car in One Bottle Water.

Did a power wash last time at a service station was almost seven months ago.

Once in 4 weeks or 6 weeks, does a full water wash with Formula 1 Carnauba wash and wax.

Other than this daily cleaning was with a microfibre cloth as mentioned above using almost negligible quantity of water.

Clear coat is intact and no scratches so far (other than some which was caused by a cleaner who was using plenty of water for daily cleaning. Stopped his services after one month)

Started using Jopasu duster for last one month and there for cleaning with microfibre cloth is only once in 4 or 5 days.
Good bro but a full body power wash is needed at least once in the month because there is a chance of under body rusting due to the dust and mud.
If the body is cleaned every day then you may not be needing a power wash for the body.
And bro i was responding to the thread starter and his technique.

Its a good idea to clean the car with just a single bottle water, but not cleaning the car properly. :sorry: So I am using duster to clean the dust before washing with small amount of water. You will get number of car duster in market like this. JOPASU car duster

I have purchased this & using since 1 month & found very usefull, if you dont want to wash your car or wash with 1 Ltr water. [clap]

Quicktip: How to Wash your car in one bottle of water & very little time & effort.
I do use this technique when my car cleaner takes a day off. I use two cloths (one to dust and other to wipe). However, one shouldn’t follow this if the car is too dirty.

This is good if you are hurrying up somewhere and can't spend too much time on cleaning, usually i clean only the front windshield with some amount of water and clean with the newspaper not even cloth.

Finally whatever you do, do it properly so i don't touch the areas which are more dirt with short span of time.

For some people they are always hurrying somewhere & always short of time for such activities like cleaning their car[;)], although I said this method is good for daily/regular cleaning I have hardly been able to do it twice since I started this thread so I guess that is the case with most people!

BTW if you have school going(young) kids give them the water spraying part of the job & watch how much fun they have with it! [:)] Of course you will still have to do the wiping cleaning part after that yourself!

^^One bottle water almost free, Detailer cost Rs 290 so of course its each person's choice [;)]

Did the water spray car cleaning yesterday (sunday) after quickly dusting the surface, took about 18 mins to soak the car twice & wipe it clean both outside & also the doors/windows including frame from inside & I must say while it might not be perfect squeaky clean, but its almost as good.. secondly felt good to be saving precious water in the heat of summer & its almost effortless if I may call it compared to conventional cleaning.[:D]

One quick tip is to do this most preferrably in the early morning hours before you have even started the car, else in addition to the summer heat, the car heat will evaporate the thin layer of moisture in a few seconds!

Never do it, should end with lots of swirls in long run.....[frustration]
Why not? works like a charm & I don't see a lot of new scratches/swirls either! as long as you dust the car properly first & make sure you spray the surface wet & also you us a moist cloth!! Saves a lot of effort too!

Check out the link below for an inexpensive duster!

Guys, Unless you teflon coat your entire car or something, there will always be some scratches on any new car after a while, the key or trick is to find an optimal way which cleans the car well without adding too many scratches!

already doing it for several months ;) don't see any additional scratches except my car is much cleaner due to the duster & the spray cleaning & I am neither paying some cleaner boys nor spending too much time myself cleaning it. neither using some fancy magic wax cleaning stuff. to me its like win-win all the way!

method works well even on large UVs as well but just for quick cleaning like between the weekdays when you dont have lot of time & the vehicleshould not be too dirty, mostly just dusty. Using the actual Colin glass cleaner liquid after this to avoid water stains or marks.
