Seems it hit a truck, see you can see the underrun protection of a truck lying just in the front portion of the car. So, most probably the truck stopped suddenly and the city crashed from behind.

Looking at the road, definitely it is not suited for high speed driving. Wonder what did the driver ram into to bring Honda City to this state !! It has just crumbled like paper! Wondering whether a VW / Skoda / Fiat would have been in a better shape after a mishap like this !

the car in the previous page is definitely a anhc. i think its the same accident where in a young doctor doing his DM in pulmonary medicine, at amrita institute kochi was killed. what i had heard from a colleague is that the car had jumped the divider and hit a truck coming from the oppsite direction. on enquiry all who knew the doctor vouch for his very careful driving. he was returning to kochi from calicut after attending a family function. must have fallen asleep.

I think the front portion is not damaged, i guess it was hit only on the side..
Its in the city limits only, in peak hour.

Sad to see Swift in such state. It is believed to have happened during midnight. Witness: 'the impact was so great that the car flipped mid-air after hitting the divider and one of the occupants died instantly' Source: ndtv Mumbai.
Have witnessed such divider accidents at Bangalore also many times. Especially late in the night due to poor street lighting and absense of reflectors on these dividers. Friends, please beware of these 'killer dividers' while night driving.
