I agree with you , the vehicle coming at the back should maintain a safe stopping distance at all times. But nothing can be done if the other vehicle changes lanes all of a sudden!

This seemed to have happened early this morning, near Marathalli (Kundenehali gate). Looks like he hit the concrete slab, that holds the lamp post, on the right and swirled to the left. Hurting to see a captiva in this state.

He must have been at high speeds! Off late early morning accidents have become common. People tend to ignore signals and break all possible traffic rules in the early mornin hours leading to accidents. I see people happily zooming ahead even if the signal shows red [shock] in case you try to follow the signal, people look at you as if you are a criminal [surprise]

Drive safe. Lets follow traffic rules irrespective of the time and make roads a joy to drive instead of a horror place!

Yes surely high speed and Captiva is a great performer! Just because its an SUV the occupants must have left the car safely!

I think the driver must have slept off! And i am wondering why the wipers are in that position!

This definitely looks to be a case of high speed crash. But the good thing is that the engine compartment escaped unhurt.

One clarification.. Observe the back left wheel of the Captiva. Its a normal rim! I thought Captiva comes with Alloys by default. Isnt it? or does it depend on the model/version?
