@polotdicl - I am from Lakdikapul. I got mine in May 2011 from PPS Hyd.The car is really fun to drive. Not done any mods.
Ad People I was thinking of Aftermarket Fogs and DRL's
Contacted a accessories shop and he was quoting Rs.4800 for the Fogs and 1500 for DRL's. He says there will be no wires cut.
Is it VFM ?
By the way giving my PoLo for 1st service Tmrw and the VW guys said it would b e costing around rs9800 and will take 1 day. There is some paintwork to do so might take more.

Why do you want to change tires? Comfort, noise reduction, grip? Asking just out of curiosity.
Not just 195/60/R15, I have heard people change it to 205/60/R15 too. Yea, spare wheel also you might need to change.
Experts need to comment on the change of tires.

Yes, vibrations can be felt especially on clutch. Basically the whole body shakes a bit at idling for a sec, because of which you might feel vibrations on gear knob and seats. I think this is normal for polo 1.2 engine.

..
Thanks Rightnow for the information on clutch. I have a polo 1.2l tdi which I have bought on 15th of April,2012. I have following queries:

1) The only vibration that I feel is (as you have said) a light press on clutch/at low rpm , specially with bare foot. Is that normal ?
2) With more kilometer on odo , will that decrease?
3) I see that you have a petrol polo , that means same vibration on clutch pedal is on petrol polo's also ? Have you got any chance to compare with diesel polos?
4) Do you have any chance to compare this vibration with other diesel vehicles?
Eagerly waiting for you all's reply.

Slight vibrations could be felt on clutch initially but that is not something that has bothered me recently. Initially, I remember it used to feel bit too much on feet but it has surely gone down now after 8k on my ODO. Now its negligible.

It has also got something to do with proper driving position so that you feet it placed properly on clutch. My suggestion would be to wait for a few kms.

I am not right person to compare diesel and petrol, but Toughguy has already cleared that he doesn't feel any vibration in his diesel polo.

And bare foot will feel more vibrations in any car.

The vibrations are 10 times more in petrol polo 1.2 ..
You must be kidding..

Re: Ownership Review: Polo 1.2 TDI Comfortline (Diesel)

After so many road trips my Polo deserves a good shower, so its time for cleaning my Explorer, i chose a shop near my home for this purpose he quoted me 200 bucks for external and internal cleaning and plastic and rubber polish.

My regular washing center was closed due to electricity issues, they charged me 100 bucks for this very same process.

So here goes my baby:

He vacuumed it first, though not very dirty from inside

Now she is ready for shower

IMG_0198.jpg

Shower start, my car become quite dirty after so many trips so this is most welcome move for my Explorer-1

Out of curiosity i checked again the under seat of my Polo and found everything with top notch quality.

I have both petrol and diesel polo ,,and i can tell u that the vibrations in petrol vehicle are more when the car is in idle and it gets worse when the ac is on. I am talking abt the car as a whole not abt clutch alone

Normal, you will feel vibration in every car pedal

2) With more kilometer on odo , will that decrease?

After first service things will definitely settle down

4) Do you have any chance to compare this vibration with other diesel vehicles?

I also drove Polo petrol little bit and found that vibration is almost same in clutch pedal, though engine vibration and noise are lesser than diesel counterpart

Compare both the petrol and diesels at idle

@ToughGuy, you are lucky to find a place so cheap.
I got it for Rs 330 -/- Carwash.JPG I want to find a place who just do a pressure wash from outside and dry the vehicle with a soft cloth for something around 50 bucks.

I see ur car lifted. Don't tell me that you got ur cars underbody pressure treated[frustration]

Try at village shops on Najafgarh-Nangloi road you will find many cheap car washing shops easily.

Avoid the under body too, they say they have sensors and no vw dealer does underbody pressure washing along with engine bay.
Also seen some other forum, where one guy went to 3m and after the treatment the sensors got faulty

I am not sure buddy. Inherently diesel should give more vibrations and noise than petrol but if you experience otherwise, you should get your polo petrol checked.

I have not seen any difference in car vibrations when AC is on. Everything seems to be normal even with AC at any level.

Even I think the same. The workshop guys never wash the car from under body.
