Paint job

Hi mates i had been busy lately because i had to complete the vehicle before 7th of this month.

We finalized everything took a small test drive where in we realized that rear right wheel bearing had failed so it was replaced which costed 500 bucks and proceeded for paint job. All the components where dissembled and 1 coat metal primer was applied using brush and let to dry. We are using normal ASIAN PAINTS PREMIUM ENAMELS due to lack of funds [cry].

The painting was done using spray gun because we had a air compressor in our fluid mechanics lab which also made our work faster & easier [:D]. The chassis was painted MATTE BLACK and Other components like control arms, shock springs, engine mounts and little bit of detailing will be painted GLOSS ORANGE which is yet to be done.

Finally you made it guys. Congrats.
Please do post a video.

BTW, for the front wheels get the driveshaft inner bell and fix then on the wheels ASAP. The knuckle + bearing + hub assembly is press fitted and in the actual vehicle driveshaft nut keeps them tight (there are possibilities that complete wheel assy may slip out when not tightened the driveshaft properly.

thank you mate :agree: ... we actually ran into tat situation two days back when we towed the vehicle to my friends place the left front wheel got locked and we thought it was because of brake pads but when we removed it we saw the hub had moved away from the knuckle a couple of mm and stated rubbing on the caliper[shock] .... i hit the hub inside and aligned it back that is when i realized it should be press fitted at least with a long nut & bolt [frustration] ..

Better to use a proper D/Shaft bell. Used ones from scrap market doesn't cost much. After all your own safety is much more important than few hundred additional rupees spent on the D/Shaft bells (than normal bolt-nut)

Fantastic job guys!

Do put in a safety harness.

It may be just be the way the picture is taken but there seems to be a nut missing in the left front lower wishbone in the rear polyurethane bush.
