Looks like mini Ford Escort, the rear design clearly resembles the Skoda Fabia , a much preferred design as it has good opening great space also inside
If this one comes with at least the 100 bhp version of 1.0 ecoboost it will be great enthusiasts choice

I really like the front of this car. Rear design is also good looking, though nothing spectacular there. Side profile looks a little cheesy, atleast from the pic, maybe will look better in real.

Autocar India is suggesting that the new Ford Figo will be unveiled in Auto Expo next year and will probably go on sale in 2015. So a long wait ahead till we get to see the final production version for deliveries.

The basic platform is Fords B platform so driving dynamics wont be compromised, what i need to see is whether the car comes with drum or Disk brakes like i n the old Figo which made lot of noise while handbrakes were applied and released, also interior fit and finish
Rear windows which should be power windows by now
The features of new Figo will be 80% of Ecosports and in sedan form it will have all features Ecosport has( info from a Brazilian source)

If 1.0 ecoboost with 100 bhp is coming as an engine choice it will be a blast to drive
1.0 3 cylinder NA engine with 80 bhp and 105 NM@ 4500 rpm is a sure engine
1.5 TDCi with 75 bhp and 190 NM @ 2000 rpm for diesel

Looks really dynamics, side profile looks superb and sporty, if the ecoboost 100 hp turbo makes into this thing , it will be AWESOME!!

Another observation is the rear tire has a less pronounced wheel arch and the door is quite moreinto wheel arch region, this means the rear door finally will get a window that gets full swing unlike half swing windows in Figo,
If Ford can put 1.0 ecoboost engine inside this thing this might also become 2015 world car of the year, as Ford has already told that this car will take VW up! the 2012 world car of the year

For me it reminds me of new Fiesta hatch up front but rear seems like that of Skoda Fabia, what will matter most is interior, if it has same space as of figo and better features and most importantly European quality rather than Asian one, its going to have a lot of grand i10 owners go wide open mouthed

Spied – Ford Ka hatchback (next gen Ford Figo) testing in Brazil with less camouflage

The new Ford Ka hatchback has been caught testing in Brazil. The global model has been spotted with loose camouflage.

Speculates that the hatchback will get the EcoBoost 1.0-liter 3-cylinder engine along with the 1.5-liter engines, setting the car’s price between R$ 31,000 (Rs 8.1 Lakh) and R$ 40,000 (Rs 10.47 lakh) in Brazil.

The images clearly show that the Ka gets the Aston Martin grille, along with a rear roof spoiler. It doesn’t seem to carry too many changes compared to the concept that was shown last November in Brazil, the taillight cluster remains true to the concept as well.

As for the alloys, both models spied carry different alloy wheels – one bearing resemblance to that on an EcoSport – and both of them are different from that used in the concept.

Notably, the hatchback is one of the several Ford products that will be launched in India within the next two years. However, the car has never been seen in India, either officially or testing, and Ford had showcased the Ka-based Figo Sedan Concept at the Auto Expo 2014. Hence we expect this to be launched before the hatchback, though a concurrent introduction can also be not ruled out.

New Ford Ka Spotted Testing in Brazil, to Be Launched Before World Cup.

Based on the old generation Fiesta, this five-door hatch uses thinner sheetmetal and a shrunken platform to fit into the A-segment.

The new five-door hatch would be launched just before the FIFA World Cup (starts Thursday, June 12, ends Sunday, July 13th). A sedan version will also come later, in October, during a local motor show. Two engine choices will be available, a 1-liter with 80 hp and a 1.5-liter, making 111 hp on petrol and 107 hp on ethanol.

Ford Starts Teasing New Ka (Next-Gen Figo for India) in Brazil: Launch Anytime Soon

The third generation Ford Ka, which is slated to be launched in Brazil sometime around the Fifa World Cup, might just be launched anytime now.

By the word ‘global’ here, you must have understood that the Ka is the next-gen Figo and is expected to be launched in India as well. This might just be an upgrade, a simple replacement of the present generation Figo or Ford might do a Nissan by selling the current-Gen Figo as ‘Classic’ when the Next-Gen is launched sometime next year.

The Figo concept sedan that was unveiled in India is essentially the same Ka hatchback with an added boot. Brazil also has the sedan-ized version but it is longer than 4 meters and gets a bigger boot.

In terms of engines, this new Figo hatch will/should come with the 1L EcoBoost petrol and the 1.5L or 1.4L TDCI diesel engines in India. Camouflaged mules of the new hatch have been spotted in Brazil a few days back and interestingly, the production car doesn’t look a lot different from the concept as was the case with EcoSport as well. This new Figo is expected to be manufactured at Ford’s new Gujarat plant along with the Figo sedan.

I guess the interior of the next gen Ford Ka or Figo will look like this but with hard plastics and les soft touch surfaces

With the B+ segment gearing up with a slew of launches Ford would be releasing their Gen Next Figo by year end.

Ford is also looking forward to introduce next generation Ford Figo by 2014 end. The revamped Figo is said to get an all new 1.0L ECOnetic power-train that incorporates Dual-command TiVCT (Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing). Added to this, the petrol motor will also be capable to produce maximum power of around 85bhp at 6500 rpm. The next generation Figo will be entirely different from what it looks at present. It will get new grille that makes it look like Aston Martin cars. Moreover, new DRLs, fresh headlights, unique bumpers and stylish alloy wheels are sure to delight the enthusiasts.
