No, it's just MARUTI.
We all are well aware of the herd mentality of our typical Indian buyers.
freakdude.
This is not our(Indian) herd mentality rather it's socio economic status of India which like to be risk free and go for a true VFM product. In India especially non comericial cities, still 3 lakhs is amount which has great weightage. Many people buy car as one time possesion and decide based on all the factors like price, fuel avg, maintenance and resale value and they get answer as Maruti.
Maruti is following it's own legacy and people has trust on them.
After launch of Alto, we are seeing Hyundai going crazy about it's EON and putting add everywhere that EON is trendsetter (this made me laugh)
P.S- We donot have Alto and given chance will not go for it as our demand is different than Alto. But I respect other Indian buyers who love to have Alto as this is a great and well proven small car for decade.
