Got welded. Total 1800rs. Now there is something different in the ride don't know what it is[thinking].

Get the entire member painted as it would start rusting again if left un-painted.

Is that the lower arm next to it ? get it painted.

Welding looks OK. One question. It looks like the welding area is wet. Was water put immediately after welding to cool it off? If yes then its bad.

Actually, the picture was taken in my home. The water is due to bad roads and poth holes in chennai due to rain.

Yes, its a lower arm. Can we use a normal paint(used in households) or is there any special paint for this, if any please suggest.

Any thing will do, apply 2-3 coats. Wait for atleast 2 hours after applying one coat.

Better use red-oxide primer then paint it will last long.

A small update, covered 85,000 kms and the car seems to jerk in first and second gear. The turbo seems to be lost, recently my mechanic unplugged the EGR valve. May be this caused a problem?.

hey linkin your regular updates are excellent. iam also indica turbo fan we had one indica turbo DLG we purchased in 2nd hand its 2007 model but at starting we faced lots of problems in my car like turbo failure,engine backpumping and lots of rattle nouses[thinking] but finally we solved some problems by doing major engine work right now my car is fine...

hey Linkin do you have any idea about TATA Indica Turbo engine fan "On and Off" time intervals :

Even i have a dout about my Engine Fan nouse. its Nouses louder campare to other cars[thinking] So is it your car engine fan noise is louder then other cars

@gaddambhargavareddy Thanks for your compliment. Regarding the Turbo engine fan, Its a kind of uzzz noise. Its is clearly noticeable when you press the accelerator hard(above 2k rpm) in 2nd gear while running. I don't know about the turbo "On and Off" time. But it switch On once the car is started.
BTW did you solve the turbo failure? How did you noticed the difference?

hey thanks for reply but sorry to i think you didnt clearly understood my query iam asking about engine cooling fan(or radiator fan) its nouses nothing like anything just like P4 Desktop CPU processor FAN nouse

So what my question is each and every indica engine cooling fan is sounds more then other cars [thinking]

@gaddambhargavareddy sorry for the confusion you could have mentioned it as radiator fan itself instead of Turbo engine fan. Regarding the noise, I think it is common in most of the car and it is not too loud. In my car it is not too loud and you can feel inside the car when it is switched ON. I didn't notice the "On and Off" time intervals, it starts once the temperature needle comes in middle.

I think my car radiator fan is too loud even in heavy traffic i can here fan sound inside the cabin

So is it any special reasons to increase radiator fan sound? My car is "five and half years" old (2007 TATA Indica Turbo DLG). even iam facing lots of Rattle nouse issues inside cabin :
