This might be a good news for Grand owners who bought the car before November.
Today i got a call from Hyundai and they said a software update is available and it can be done at my doorstep Then i asked is this regarding batter drain issue and they said yes this is to fix battery issue. I am getting it done on Monday

Hi karthik , My new grand i10 is due for service. Can you or anyone from Hyderabad tell me about the best Hyundai service center in Hyderabad? I have purchased my car from Talwar Hyundai, is it necessary to go to a service centre owned by the dealer or I can go to any other service centre. Will it affect the quality of service? Is it advisable to go for pickup and drop service for first time service of the car?

No it is not mandatory to go to the service center of dealer, you can give it at any Hyundai service center. In my case dealer suggested me to go to Kondapur Service center(Near Alvin colony) but i heard from my friends that Gachibowli service center is the best one in Hyderabad so i directly called them and booked my service appointment.
Come to the pickup and drop service yes we may not fell good about using pickup and drop service as this is our new car. So i personally went and handover my car [:)] . But all of my friends and colleagues use that service only no one goes to service center.

Thanx kartik.. Yours is from Kun Hundai, Mine is Talwar so I was trying to find out a good service centre near Begumpet/Ameerpet. I have heard good about Lakshmi Hyundai service centre Banjara Hills. I am thinking of the same but do you think will the service be superior if I stick to talwar only. Will dealer help by giving some leads to service people?

I don't think so. What i observed is they don't even care from which dealer we bought the car all they need is the free service coupon that's all. And more over this is our first service which involves some basic checkups nothing more than that. So go by your convenience as of now. In future from the second service on wards or in case of damages do some research and go with the better service center.

Hi gravitytheone,
Mine is "twilight blue", in metallic colors IMO this is the best color for Grand.
I think there wont be much difference in price quote among different showrooms. Additional goodies may differ. Try to book your Grand ASAP as Hyundai is going to increase the prices in near future.

Done with my Software update, Afternoon hyundai technician came and updated my cluster software. but the bad part is i lost all my trip readings [anger] he should have inform me that before doing update.

@karthik

Can you comment on the A/C performance of your car. Many people complain about the ineffective cooling in Grand i10. Also is it possible to mention the "CC" value of the A/C compressor.
