Re: My New Honda Jazzzzz....

Hi any one know how much the fog lamp will cost for Jazz by the dealer, since it cannot be done outside as it comes with the front bumper, My dealer told if required we can go for fog lamps and spoiler extra in the select Model. Also I have read in some threads stating drilling the bumper is not good and need to replace the entire bumper. Could any X or select owners confirm the fog lamp assembly, like how is it integrated or its placed by drilling a hole please ? I mean is it an entire single piece or did they fit lamps by drilling a hole ?
I dont know the case of jazz. As far as i have read, installation of fog lamps in city is done by drilling. Pattern for cutting the hole,is provided in the inside of the bumper. So,in jazz too, it will be done by drilling. But, in city, it costs about 21K for the entire process. Spoiler too may cost you something under 5K. But, you can go for the spoiler from accessory shops too. One and only new jazz X in Trivandrum(UT) has got another spoiler rather than OEM spoiler. But,i suggest, if you need spoiler and fog, you better opt for X than select. X has even more features and hence its worth the price.

Re: My New Honda Jazzzzz....

Hi akjil, but X has got blue black interiors and not up to my taste. Also not much interested in drivers height adjuster/auto mirror retract. But looks like if I get fog lamps and rear spoiler which usually comes with X, I am ok with that... now the only concern is the mileage. Is the new Jazz much fuel efficient than old jazz, as they made bumpers more aerodynamic ? or any other changes in the engine.. like fine tuning the engine for more mileage. The old Jazz has very less mileage I heard...

no idea regarding mileage. I dont think the changes in the bumper will increase the mileage. Its just to improve the sporty appearance. Well, as far as i have heard from owners in Trivandrum, old jazz gives 13-14[:)] with A/C in the city. Almost everyone I ask says they even get 16(without AC). Trivandrum Peninsular Honda's manager owns a blue one. He said he got upto 22 on highways.[clap] Dont know, if he was trying to pull my leg[:D]

Well Akhilgopalg, what the Honda manager told you could be right. Because, even i got a mileage of 22.3 km/l (as per the meter), in my jazz..Well I couldnt manage to take a snap at that moment, but i have taken a snap when my meter read 21.7km/l :) .You may see the pic below :)

Thank you Jazzyand welcome to you too [:)]. I am gonna visit you thread now.[thumbsup]

Great to see awesome FE figures on Jazz. [:)]
Yes Akhilgopalg. It is awesome to see such good figures.. But still, I am not happy with the city mileage. So far, I have clocked only nearly 2800 kms. 2 services done so far. Hope the city mileage gets improved after running few more kilometers.[:)]

Hi Vishak...First of all let me wish you good luck to get your car as soon as possible [:)]

I payed 10000/- Rs as booking amount. So far the service is pretty good. Im done with 2 free services. No bitter experience from the service center so far . The Vision Honda here at Thrissur, started very recently and I am their first customer [glasses]. So I guess they will try to keep up the standards, for the sake of getting the permanent dealership badge or whatsoever thing that they call it. [:)]

What I heard is it all depends on the dealer's monthly quota. If vision honda has very less booking then they can give the new bookings in 1st or 2nd slot, Penisular honda will get 8-10 for both cochin & Trivandrum thats why.. isn't it ?

Yep.But, no bookings already at Vision ? At Peninsular, that's what they say. Feeling doubtful now, whether we will get jazz by March. Have you seen the figures of January production ? 0- for jazz and brio. So, still the waiting position remains the same.[anger] Damn the floods [anger]

Re: My New Honda Jazzzzz....

yes, no movement in waiting list unless some one before you and me cancels it. I inquired about the current booking of Jazz in one dealership here, they told if the production is in peak then the waiting period will come down massively, They are promising the Brio delivery by March first week which means this month Brio will get preference in production. But if they are producing their monthly capacity which is 10000 units excluding CRV which is imported, then we can expect at the earliest.

Hoping so. Lets see.On the positive side, road to my house is closed now and is soon to undergo tarring. The roads seems in pathetic condition now . So, glad that we didn't get the car till now and that we will get it only after all the roads are clear. Else, the suspension would have done a whole lot of work . [;)]
