you can see here
May be its manufacturing defect. Show this to the seller and I'm sure he will honor and provide replacement or refund.

Agreed. You are right and nicely documented the issue.
As CRACING said, it might be a manufacturing defect, unfortunately.
Please don’t delay, open your case in the Resolution Centre through ‘my paisa pay protection.
ebay.com will never disappoint you. Even if you have passed a good feedback on receipt, still you can take up the case within the time limit.

Hello all,

Today I gave my car for servicing and required things to be done were; Air filter replacement, Oil filter replacement, Tyre rotation, wheel alignment and balancing.

Below are the things that were performed and prices accordingly:

Labor - These come under 50k paid service which total cost is - Rs. 1084.27
1. Check Front Break pads for thickness & lubricate pins (Silicon Grease)
2. Clean Air Filter
3. Rotate Tyres (Four Tyres only)
4. Replace engine oil
5. Replace oil filter

Labor - These are additional tasks which I requested. Prices accordingly
1. Battery Testing + Consumables - Rs. 115.73
2. Wheel Alignment - Rs. 432.59
3. Wheel Balancing - Rs. 359.55

Parts
1. Engine Oil (100 ML x 36 ) - Rs. 1258.45
2. Washer Plug Drain 14 - 20.84
3. Oil Filter - Rs. 148.85
4. Sticker (Weights) ( 3 Qty ) - Rs. 176.22
5. Coolant topup - Free (Told by service adviser but not mentioned in invoice)

*All prices includes tax

Two things made me disappointed. First is Engine oil replacement which wasn't really required because it was already performed in my last service (6 months ago) and I didn't even driven 500 KM till today. I argued to them but it didn't workout. They keep saying about maintenance schedule, "5000km or 6 months ago whichever is earlier" so engine oil should be replaced. Does the engine oil really gets bad by age? I feel sad on losing money on that unnecessary engine oil replacement. [cry]

Second thing is Air Filter. Looks like they don't have much profit with this thing like the above. Again argued to change it and later they agreed but upon vehicle delivery, they didn't do! Again ended up saying, air filter is fine,we have cleaned it. Is that paper filter really a cleaning-able thing? I opened up the air filter to see how they cleaned it but its same as before. I don't know how they think, this dusty filter is gone give pure air and don't block.

It makes no sense to argue to these people who go under maintenance schedules rather then products conditions or owner requirements. I had to do more request on not washing the car as well and fortunately they didn't do it. Service adviser got sad here, may be he lost profit from washing. [lol]

Other things were satisfactory though. They asked me to come again after 6 months (To put engine oil axe on my head) but I will never go until I drive 5000 KMs.

Btw; I'm attaching estimate prices and labor charges scan copy, may be you know it already, if not, check it out. [:)]

Thanks...
Best Regards

I totally agree with this, 3 months or 5000 KM interval is very short period for servicing and changing oil on every 6 month without much running is a totally waste (Are you listening Honda). Other manufacturers offers service at 6 months or 1 years interval with oil change recommendations are 1 year or 10k KM which is justified. Very bad and poor strategy of Honda to get money.

My car will going tomorrow for its 1st paid service which nothing but only washing and cleaning, that cost me around Rs. 800 (Estimation from the rate card which you have attached.) and waste of petrol (Nearest service center is 30 KM drive single way). Honda used to tell that missing out on regular service results into voiding warranty, but its day light robbery. [frustration]

Dr. Mudhan expecting your kind and as usual knowledge enrich comment on above topic.

Sorry sir but what do you mean by normal holder type? Parking lamps have T10 holder and reverse lights have T20 holder. More info about lights assembly in ANHC 09 is posted here (Post #349).

That is for synthetic oil I believe, which has replacement schedule of 10k KM or 1 year. But our ANHC has mineral oil.

Paid services are compulsory things? and just washing and cleaning? I don't think so. Each service schedule is set for 5k KM or 6 months and each time they change engine oil plus other things. If they are charging for washing and cleaning, don't let them do it. Its costly and we don't think how well they work (i.e afraid of making swirls).

Hello all,

I had some rust fixing job todo inside front bumper as well as installing H11 cree bulbs so today it was the time to do both the jobs. Attaching some snapshots below. Of Horns (Which I had missed previously), developed rusts inside front bumper & H11 Cree led testing.

Apologize for not taking shots after repairing corrosion's as it was getting dusk after I finished the job.

All the led bulbs I bought today were great and cree bulb is very bright but I haven't took the car outside in the night to test because the painting I did needs drying. Tomorrow night I will be posting images of bulbs illumination in the light.

Thanks...
Best Regards

… In case of Mothers MF Applicator Pads, I had little trouble applying products since pad would become sticky and won't move on the surface easily. Instead I have to hold half of the pad to move it, unlike 5 fingers above. Need some lights from Dr MUDHAN here as what could be wrong.

MOTHERS ULTRA-SOFT MF APPLICATOR PADS - vs - MEGUIAR'S SOFT FOAM APPLICATOR PADS

Microfiber is a polyester/polyamide fabric that is antistatic and absorbent, little press will stick on the surface; as you know they are not firm to hold.
Polishing needs gentle press and gliding which soft foam does easily, especially on a clayed/ prepared surface.
I am using this soft foam which is very cheap - 12 foam pads @2.75$, and I use MF cloth for gentle wiping.
12 Polish Round car cleaning wash sponge / sponge wax Free Shipping 2772-in Sponges, Cloths & Brushes from Automobiles & Motorcycles on Aliexpress.com

ABOUT ENGINE OIL CHANGE @ 6 MONTHS INTERVAL

My ALBUS also went for service this month, 6 month gap, and the dealer told that we could change the oil next service i.e., at 9 months interval as the run was very less like you. But, my happiness was not lasting as they did AC disinfection / and Engine bay spray to protect the electrical and charged Rs.1350/- to ensure, or otherwise also to get some business.
I understand:
The thumb rule: for synthetic oil - change oil & filter every 10000 / Semi-synthetic 7500 / Conventional 5000 Kms .
Considering these facts: 1. Oil requires complex additives and detergents to help prevent corrosion and sludge build-up. 2. Additives allow oil to flow freely at extremely cold temperatures while also providing protection under extremely hot temperatures.
Yes, the oil does change. It absorbs the moisture that's a by-product of combustion, which destroys the additives and turns to sludge, which can eventually damage the engine. Changing the oil at least every 6 months, even if we drove less than 5000 Kms, is good as recommended by the manufacture.
A car that is driven only on short trips around town, lots of stop and go, idling, driving in dusty conditions, car parked long enough needs and it is prudent to change oil at 5000 Kms or at least @ 9 months interval as the engine rarely gets hot enough to evaporate the water that forms in the crankcase and builds up sludge.

ABOUT H11 CREE & REVERSE LIGHT BULBS

I too got the same H11 Cree for my fogs, as one day, I unexpectedly got an offer ‘2x Cree High Power H11 High Power 12-SMD 5730 Cree Q5 Led Fog Lights Bulbs ‘for US $8.96 / pair only. I am yet to fit.
Please let me know how you feel, especially about Reverse light and Rear parking light illumination at night, compared to stock bulbs.

OMG! anyways, when my present foam pads go bad, I will go for these.

Got that done as well in previous service but AC disinfection only they charged approx Rs. 1.2k.

Yes, the oil does change...............
Yeah that makes sense.

Please let me know how you feel, especially about Reverse light and Rear parking light illumination at night, compared to stock bulbs.
Sure please hold on for tomorrow.

Btw; I couldn't remove the underbody cover to get hands on fog lamp. The manual says its possible, Remove two screws plus one plastic fastener and I did but its not possible to remove the cover or move it. As the cover is suck under front bumper. Can you please guide me how to if possible?

Thanks...

sludge.

Thanks a lot for that pad links. I'll get those for sure.

So that means you also follows the 3 months service interval and 6 months/ 5000 KM interval for oil change. [:)] Thank you for those guideline.

Thank you RK (Gurrala74) for your endearing welcome & wishes. I am really proud to be with you all at TAI.[:)]
Thank you dear AmbyLovers for your good wishes and I agree with you that Honda India should give a value for money as they give in other countries like Malaysia, Philippines & Thailand.[glasses]

I continue my stories…

PART VI:
MY CHROME STORY:

Who said that chrome is only good in dark color car? I wanted to have chrome door handles as seen in the high end models. But, wanted a very good quality, made of ABS plastic and of durable chrome coating. Nowhere was it available for ANHC and I could see some Indian online site like ‘vicky.in’ but they are not showing the real stuff in their web page. ‘AliExpress’ came to my help. Many vendors... Two types were available - One direct replacement for handle, priced more than 30 $ and the other just fit over original handle, priced @ 15 $. I didn’t want to fiddle & remove the original handle and the lock. So I ordered the second one and got it. How to paste it, I read through YouTube DIY clips. Did it, but with a mistake! My car has two key locks on both the side. The chrome covers had only one hole. While placing the chrome covers I pasted the key hole part to the left side and only when pasting the driver entry side I realized the mistake…he.. he! The key hole got closed. Ok, I left it as I can manage with the remote key.

Somehow I did not like the black sticker I pasted on the petrol lid. I ordered one chrome type for 9 $ from the same site and placed.

My brother wanted me to get a ‘1.5cm x 15M Decorative Ribbon Roll chrome Sticker DIY Car Decoration Trim Line’ for his Toyota Etios. I got a piece and fixed on the front black grill, below the number plate and also below the rear number plate, to make my car look little different, which you would have noticed from my first photos.
Sir,

A big salute to you for the effort and and your admiration towards youe vehicle.

Sir. I would like to know from where you bought the Petrol lid trim. I could find it in a chinese site but couldn't buy it since I don't have a PayPal account.

Yes. You need not remove fully. You just get a space at corner so that your hand can approach the holder and carefully turn out / in to get the bulb in the holder, gently & firmly.

Actually, I have not removed the underbody cover when I did second time and I fixed it by opening & through the bonnet, fortunately my hands are longer [;)]

Regarding sponges for waxing, I don’t think so that you will get cheaper than this at any time. It is cheaper than what I bought, now priced for 12 numbers @ 1.88 dollars including shipping to India. Don’t miss this!!!

@CRACING, that is the rust pone area for majority of City's as it directly contact with the water from street in rainy season.
Yeah because of dirt and water lay in the edges of metals and stays there for long and won't dry. Its very common on all cars and no body can prevent it. Anyhow, I repaired it by sanding, priming & painting matching color. so that the corrosion will be stopped for time being.

@ CRACING

Yes. You need not remove fully. You just get a space at corner so that your hand can approach the holder and carefully turn out / in to get the bulb in the holder, gently & firmly.
Well, I got it finally but its not so easy as mentioned in manual. We have to remove many plastic fasteners then said on manual. It also good since we don't have to blend the cover. Written detailed info below.

Actually, I have not removed the underbody cover when I did second time and I fixed it by opening & through the bonnet, fortunately my hands are longer [;)]
So do I have. I'm 6 ft tall. It was possible on right side fog light (passenger side) but on the other side (driver) there are more abstracts (i.e wiper washer fluid tank, radiator fan wires and etc) so my hand couldn't reach the bulb and don't want to suck my hand in either.

How to remove underbody cover to access fog light bulb.

1. There are two metal screws and seven plastic fasteners which holds wheel cover and engine bottom cover.
2. 6 plastic fasteners + one metal screw around wheel and one plastic fastener + one metal screw under front bumper.
3. They all need to be removed careful since fasteners are tight, don't get injured and/or damage the fasteners. Remove them patiently. Use water, kerosene or wd40 to make them lose.
4. There are two types of plastic fasteners. One is easy to remove and other is little difficult to remove. Don't damage it. Let me know if you cannot get it pop'ed out.
5. Remember to put them back to where they where before removing. Don't mix different fasteners.
6. You don't have to remove whole cover (either wheel's or engine's). Just move them back like shown in pictures below.
7. Bulb holder area doesn't have big space but its possible to remove bulb and replace.
8. Below are the pictures marked with red arrows showing which screws & fasteners needs to be removed.

Before_01.jpg Before_02.jpg
Before_03.jpg

Move the two covers back like this (Green - Wheel cover, Blue - Engine cover) :

After_01.jpg After_02.jpg

H11 Cree Led inside fog lamp assembly (There is enough space between bulb end and front glass. Nearly 1 inch):

H11_Cree_led_Fitted.jpg

I'm positing huge texts and pictures lately. Apologize for that to Dr MUDHAN as well as site admins and mods.

Thanks...
Best Regards
