Hi Guys, quick question would in door speakers sound best for the figo or would a rear parcel plank be a better option? Will that compromise the rear luggage space?

A BIG NO for speakers in rear doors !! sound clarity will be very bad and only round speakers will fit there according to me and round speakers are not a good idea if you want a good BASS effect. So it is always better to go for coaxial speakers at the rear and mounted on rear parcel tray. Rear parcel tray is invented mainly to avoid the disturbance in boot area, so no issues on the luggage space with this.[:)]

My friend you just saved the day for me! What about the front doors would components suffice and for the rear which speakers will be best as im not a audiophile but do need a decent amount of bass.

For front, they are ok because they most of the time do the job of "treble" more and I have installed Sony and they are fine. Rear I have experience of JVC with considerable good bass effect and people talk more about JBL, please check them. Please avoid Sony explode on the rear, as they are good for nothing !! Finally I am also a music lover and more to it a Bass lover very much !! without that I can't enjoy the music at all

bob go in for components for the front great sound quality. Stick to jbl/infinity or hertz. For the rear since its in the doors it doesnt add much sound fill. but if was in the rear plank then more the better.

The result has been very good, i was inclined for the JBL GTO 990 but the Fosgate rocks, nice punchy bass and this is without a sub! The speakers needs to break in once done im sure they do even better!

Hey, how is the sound quality? Can you also share the amount you spent on them?

Yes the sound quality is pristine, i felt its leagues better than the stock HU i had on the Fluidic Verna. I like punchy bass and this setup suites my needs i hope after the break in it gets even better.

Total cost came upto 17k had to bargain hard.

Congrats !!
Enjoy your ride with good music [:D] Nice choice.

Did the front speakers come with crossovers ?
I personally feel a coax or full range ( like yours) speakers in Rear would be better to emphasis vocals. Too much treble ( if two components - one at front and another at rear ) can sometime ruin the music. But depends on your taste. I have seen many cars with more than 4 tweeters - but was never surprised . Everyone has a different taste - especially when it comes to 'audio'.

Yep the front components did come with cross overs, your right too many components will spoil the music hence I went ahead with the rear full range ones.

I did a tank up and the DTE showed 540 kms 33.69 lts of diesel went in, have read that the figo initially hovers around the 13 kmpl mark and then stretch way upto 18 kmpl post first service.
