Re: My Modified Maruti 800.

Hi Varun & JarPickle,

I need to change my M800 Type2's Clutch Plates. Could you Pl. tell me if I source ASCO Clutch assembly from you people..

The previous one was PCH-Valeo (PCH-Valeo is OE for Hyundai), I could just get 1 last piece from a dealer, the one that was manufactured for M800 and it was really soft and lasted for 30K kms over the last 3 yrs.

Seems totally worn out. It totally hard now. I need to change the entire Assembly / Releaser Bearing/Fly Wheel & all stuff.

Regards,
Sri..

Re: My Modified Maruti 800.

Hi Vishwa, No 800 except 5 speed (Dx & Ex) comes with booster brakes.
Hi Varun, this thread cleary shows your attachment with your car.

I want to ask you a question related to brakes in 800.I want to upgrade it in my 800.Is it possible to fit those booster brakes in euro 1 (non mpfi) 800s?.I found the space is not enough for booster in the engine bay.If possible, what are modifications to be done?Mine is a 2003 euro 1 spec std.Sorry if i'm asking an already discussed or a repeated query.

Can you recommend an alloy for 800?

Thanks,
Yes it can be done on any 800 (Booster) ...
Alloy's it depends on you, if you plan to retain the car go ahead and get it.

Re: My Modified Maruti 800.

Hello Guru.. long time.

Liked the stock look with rubber beadings. Now have removed the fog lamps too.
I really want to see this car in person. I have a 2003 m800 as well and I am contemplating on modifying the gear shifter since its too far forward for me. Either I shorten it or give it a couple of bends in the middle to move just the knob closer. But before I do that, I want to see how the short shifter feels like.

Anyone knows how much a new shifter stick costs? I will keep the new one just as a backup. An Alto console is also on my mind

@Varun560061 : When would be a convenient time for you to meet up? Pls pm me.

Re: My Modified Maruti 800.

Awesome upgrades [clap].. I just love your car [cry].. I recently bought a 92' model 800 and I would love to add those boosters. I've enquired with couple of them and shown them your 800 pictures. They were awestruck and confused

I would really appreciate if anyone can provide me with any lead in Hyderabad.[angel]

Also, any website where i can get that KBX kit.

Looking forward to hearing back

Re: My Modified Maruti 800.

Its long time I have updated the thread.

No much updates, car is a daily driver, covered 14 k kms after getting new engine. [:D]
Got new AC kit fitted, now finally the AC is working fine after years.
Looks wise, almost back to stock and plain. Have to get some tinkering under-body, its rotten near the main beam below the firewall.
