Re: My Modified Maruti 800.

Hello members, I am new here.
I drive a 1995 TK edition. She wears red, stock and I prefer keeping her stock but with mild customization. Got many memories with that car.

Varun560061, that is a neat looking 800 indeed. I like the way you have modified it without killing the stock looks of the car. And yeah, I liked your story, you seemed to be attached to your car.

I am hoping to find type 2 800 owners who are passionate like those owning the SS80. And I would love to know more about these models. I searched a lot for groups or threads or simply an FB page on type2 800s but found none.
I wish to learn a lot here from the TAI members. :)

Re: My Modified Maruti 800.

Varun bro, are you having anti theft / locking system in your car? Which one is the best for 800?
I have the one provided with the car, Its 11 years old and from Nippon. It has engine immobilizer too. Try to contact MASS you might get this kit.

Nothing much to update on 800. This car is a daily drive since Enjoy is very difficult to drive in B2B traffic. almost 7000 kms on the Odo, engine oil and filter replaced. Got all the dents removed on the door (10 years old dents [evil]) and painted. Now it almost looks stock. I am able to extract 13-16 kmpl in City traffic which is less but not too bad.

Varun@

Since your tires are upgraded, there may be difference in the actual milage.Did you considerd that on calculating above milage? Is it with AC? Is your AC working Now? 13-16 is not bad in City as girish said.Even Nano has almost same figures in city i guess.

Wow, stickers removed finally! It's a good thought Varun, the for sure looks neat and decent, well i know you cant live without body graphics, but try to live with these looks, it actually looks better.

I have one suggestion, if you are planning to re-paint the car color, try for black color, because the alloys has chrome and black combo, if the cat is painted jet black, it is surely an need for speed car. Just a suggestion.

.

We are there to help you any time..[:)]

Child locks - Tried a lot, as there is provision but can install..

Fog lamps - Check my cars review you will come to know. No performance issue except your car's alternator charging capacity.

Fabric inserts - Please check my car review and pic's

Booster - Really worth of money you spend, costs you 3.5 to 4k

Alloy wheels - Main purpose looks, these wheels are lighter than normal steel rims. These are more strong than the normal ones..
Hi Varun,
Thanks for all your posts. It shows your love on M800. I am also a proud owner of M800 from past 12 years. Now i am thinking for some upgrades on my M800.
The first thing i want to upgrade is Brake Boosters.
By going through all the posts i came to know that it is good one to go.
I can buy the things from J C Road. But my concern is about the fixing it.
Can you please suggest the Mechanic where i can fix it. I stay in Bannerughatta Road behind IIMB.
Thanks in advance.
Guna.

Welcome to TAI. Even I stay in that area. There are a few small garages nearby who can do it else go for MASS.

Re: My Modified Maruti 800.

Hi,
I wanted to go for Steel Headers with 3:2:1 setup with Stock mufler. I dont want to go FFE coz of the sound coz it lil annoying others when you drive. Has any one already tried this setup.
Pl let me know the impact of this on Mileage & pickup.

We discussed about WagonR seating (2004 model which spreads into Flat bed style) in a M800 some time ago by Varun & others. I read some where in the posts about seat modifications done by one of the seating mod guy near Hebbal, Bangalore, who does custom seating mods and if not reclining/moving Hinges like WagonR, we can still fit the normal hinges & a lil mods to the exiting setup to make all seats into a flat one.
Any one has a reference to that. Pl. do share.

Thanks in Advance!
Regards
Sri
