Re: Updates :)

Wooden Plank fixed,No vibrations now. Costed me 550rs.
Add any damping material inside the trunk door to decrease the vibrations fully.

When i had the ice setup in my car, the boot door was contributing for lots of sounds and vibrations.

Add white indicator cover(the ones located in the fender) instead of orange ones, will add a sporty touch.

Also consider installing fog lamps if you can. This monsoon showers makes me think that if all the cars running on road has rust coating, have you done that?

Thanks bro.[:)]

Did they remove the dash board to access your AC? how long did it take for the AC be removed?
No,They will remove some nuts under the dash and the cooling coil and casing will be off from the body.Took around 1hr.

Will do some cheap damping later.

Which car's? Alto itself? Available at MGP?

Hi Aneesh, I am in the market to change the tyres of Alto Lxi(from MRF Zvts 145/80 R12). I am more interested in 155/70 R12 from Michelin XM2 on stock rims. You had mentioned the ride quality/cornering stability had improved after this change in your machine. I have question regarding ground clearance and how it performs with full load say 3 passenger at rear and 2 in front(normal build). Did you encounter any body rub with load. And how was the mileage?

Yes.

I am running it in stock rim,Driven with more than 6 persons,No scrapping issues at all.[:D]

And how was the mileage?
Yes,there's a small reduction.its because of the tyre dimension change, not because of weight or increased load. Still i gets between 17 and 20 depending on my driving and traffic.[:)]

Fantastic! Thanks for the quick reply buddy. Some more questions...

I heared Michelin uses soft rubber. Is Michelin XM2 good in handling bad roads, is it puncture resistant service? Did you face under body scraping issues on speed breaker and bad roads? Do you use/recommend any spacers? Does the tyre touch the body(inner mud guard) as you do extreme right/left turns?

And also let me know what is the tyre PSI you set for a comfortable ride.

155/70r12 is ideal size for alto without any modifications. It will be direct fit and you don't need to install spacers. Even 165 section didn't touch anywhere while steering to extreme right or left.
My alto lx has 165/65R13 [;)]. No problem at all.

Yes its soft, but didnt faced any punctures till now, covered around 6000kms after tyre change.

With 6 or more on board, u may scrap the speed breaker if its that big.Again no issues if you approach it very slowly.[:)]

Do you use/recommend any spacers?
Not needed.

No Such problems.
