Today went to the service center for periodic service. This time it was for 50000kms service. I found one interesting thing, steam wash. The green machine in fourth photo below. On the spot cleaning. Very interesting. Little water used for cleaning.

I found the pressure steam cleaning machine details. It is Optima pressure steam machine. They have single phase, three phase variants. The one that Toyota utilize is single phase. Many options and control to control pressure & steam outlets. Advantage, less water, better cleaning, portability. Does it affect paint fading?

Successfully completed 50000Kms. Got this vehicle next to my vehicle. One can have side by side comparison. Fortuner dimensions are similar to Landcruiser Prado.

Good comparo, also congrats on completing 50000 kms. I must say the Fortuner is looking really good in comparison to the Prado, which for some reason the Prado looks a bit too mellowed compared to the TFort ( no offence Mathew, thats my view point I hope you don't mind ). Anyways, is that a 4.0 TDI badge which I see on the Fortuner? Do confirm.

Yes. It is 4.0V6 Option. Fortuner floor to roof height is much less compared to Land-cruiser Prado. Driver seat foot well, and head space is narrow in Fortuner, while much wider in Prado.

Not updated this thread for some time. It was time to visit the brother of Prado. We spent some time with Toyota Fortuner back in Kerala. We also visited some tourist places, and travelogue is getting ready. Till then enjoy with these photos.

Interestingly, received one traffic fine for over speed. it happened on Changanacherry-Alleppy (AC) road. Upto 80km/hr allowed. I crossed the camera post at 82km/hr. Anyway settled on-line.

The above travelogue is progressing here.

The below incident happened on our apartment premise. An Eucalyptus tree uprooted and fall on this BMW. The BMW is very strong, and hence some minor damages. No damages on any glass, specifically the main front windshield. I recall, a similar incident happened two years back. It is also posted in this thread. Just, recalling that photo one more time.

Interior is totally different from outgoing model. The steering wheel is now similar to steering wheel of Land-cruiser vehicles. Central console is changed and having a big touch enabled audio system. All leather seats. The seats are now better. Leather quality also excellent.
