Excellent pics Raj. Your Pintu's look is just outstanding. Needless to say, your wheels look awesome. Do they have a matte finish or its just in the photographs.

Thank you dude.

Nopes, the wheels are glossy black, just covered in a layer of dust because of the long drive.

Great pics! [:)] Alloys look gud. Have you painted black on the roof?

Hey, I have a query here. What should we fill in the tyres? Normal air or nitrogen? And how often?

Hi anand, thanks.

I have not painted the roof, its a glossy black body wrap.

I always fill normal air in the tyres. I check the pressure once in 2 weeks.

If you are one who goes on long journey's to places with varying climatic conditions Nitrogen would be a good Idea.

I have noticed the normal Air, pressure which was 30 in morning goes as high as 38 my mid day on a continues drive. I do keep a Digital pressure Guage bought for rs500 from ebay.[:D]

Guys, just some weeks back, the wheel bearing of my car had gone kaput and was replaced under warranty. Now a new issue surfaces.

After a wonderful drive from Mumbai to Raigad and back, my Punto had almost reached Mankhurd (about 15 kms from my house), when it started this loud screeching noise, somewhere from the wheels. By the time I reached Powai (at 50 km/hr), the noise increased by 3 folds. Just before I was about to enter my society gate, the noise vanished...

Thank you Pintu for saving me from the embarrassment in front of my neighbours.

I got an appointment after 4 days. Sigh.

Did you nailed down the exact place form where noise was coming? Please beware as rains have already started, drive safely and slowly until problem is resolved.

May be a small stone stuck in between the caliper / brake pad and the disk.

So when you pressed the brake it might have jumped out and noise vanished.

Any way check for any marks on the disk once, so that we can know the exact problem.

Hi friends, I got confused as whether it was something related to the wheel bearing, the sound must have been continuously there, not ON & OFF.

If it was a stone, I would have seen it when I checked it twice. Plus, there were no marks on the disc.

Then I called a friend who asked me whether it has just started raining. I said, yes indeed (it had started to drizzle yesterday). He says then the sound is normal and happens in his Estilo also. It comes for the fan belt which slips because of the sudden moisture and happens at certain rpm only. It only happens once, when the rain just starts.

Rightly so, I took my car for a spin yesterday night and there was no sound at all.

Glad to read that there is no issue as of now. But it is safer to get it checked. [;)]
