Tyre foam cleans the tyre, takes the dirt out & prevents it from getting brown. It should be used regularly, atleast twice a week in rainy season. Tyre shine gives that glossy black shine, that wet look to the tyre.

I first spray tyre foam, let it dry for ten minutes, then clean the tyre with micro fibre cloth & then spray tyre shine & again let it dry for 10 minutes.

Why would anyone buy a Fiat Punto???

To be fair, the i20 has much more space & richer interiors & the polo is a german car too & both the cars have much better engine performance than the lethargic punto. Even their after sales is said to be better than TATA. Then why a punto?

You buy a punto if -

* you cant ignore the classic & sexy italian lines of this beauty
* for you, driving pleasure not only means 0-100 kmph timings, aspects like steering feel, handling & chassis balance also matters to you
* you like a "big car" feel in a small car
* you like "something different"
* a comfortable ride is important to you
* you like your car to be feature rich
* you like big & heavy cars with that "thud" while closing doors

Coming to my Pintu, I was seriously surprised the way the Polo 1.2 diesel accelerates when revved. It will easily smoke the 90 hp Punto. Even the i20 easily beats Punto, but that was expected. Wish atleast the 90 hp Punto had better performance figures, the chassis demands it!

My car is 7000 kms old. No issues till now. The only minor issue I had was the rear plastic panel coming off which was fitted at the A.S.S. & a slight rattling sound from the dash, which is yet to be taken care of.

By the way, almost everyone in my office has asked me - "Why did you buy a FIAT?". I just give them a ride in my car... They have never asked me again!

You have said it well but some of the points are debatable. Overall, Fiat is more or less designed for the enthusiasts. Their tag line ‘Crafted for fans’ is bang on target.

Fitted Roots Windtone 90 horns today. It sounds like the Skoda/BMW. I am a big fan of this horn. So much that I had to reject Minda & Hella umpteen times while searching for Roots.

It costed me Rs. 550. Installation dint require removing the bumper. They just had to remove the front grille.

I sometimes feel the horn is sounding a bit coarse inside. Is it because it maybe touching some metal part? From outside, it sound perfectly loud & clear...

Perfectly said buddy if not for its lethargic pick-up compared to its competitors i would buy a Punto 90HP even now! Everything else in the car impressed even though i did only a short TD.

And about the horn yes even in my friend's i20 it sounds coarse and yes because its fitted on to a metal part , in my car its perfect. Even i am a fan of that horn. I love honking my friend's Vento when i drive it!:stupid:

And the bumper needn't be removed because of the huge grill provided in Punto huh?

Dear Raj,

Front logo of my punto got stolen when the car was overnight at my friend's building in thane, [evil]

How to open the front grill ?

I wanted to fix new Logo but when I visited BCMA (TASS near churchgate which is near my office)for a quick job; the technician told me "Whole bumper needs to be removed & refitted & will require 2-3 hrs"

If the grill can be removed then it's a matter of 10-15 minutes I believe...

Ohhh, VW's horn is super cool.

Punto does not have an unusually big grill but you can the horns are placed very closed to the grill so you can squeeze your hand in & install the horn.

Whats happening with you Pintu - Raj? No updates in this thread for a long time.
I have uploaded some pics. Progress is slow buddy. My new office is like 2 kms from my place... so 4 kms a day. That is, if i dont use the innova! The car barely moves over 2nd gear now! Even average has dropped to 12 kmpl!

Anyways, have added some pics...

LOL, he doesnt know his job then. You dont need to open the bumper. The grill can be just clicked open and pulled out carefully. After pulling out the grill from one side, you just need to loosen a nut & the logo comes out. I could have shown you a pictorial representation from a forum but the forum is down for maintainence!
