The ride comfort has come down because I went for tires with lower profiles than the stock ones. Road grip has improved and one will feel confident to corner the car at high speeds.
Go for higher profiles if you wish to maintain the ride comfort.

I didn't get it. You got the Yokohama 205/55 R15 tyres, and your stock ones were 175/70 R 14. How are your tyres lower in profile? Is it because of the aspect ratio (55)?

Well, if you are looking for comfort and stability 205/60 should be fine. But if you want looks as well,then go for 55 profile tires (I'm not a fan of tires with high profiles. It can vary from person to person.). But do keep in mind that comfort comes down as the profile decreases.
