Hi Friend,

How Much for Custom made DRLs? From Where You got this? any wire cut?
I bought them online. Check out ebay. They're selling it for 5k I guess.

The car has covered 13k kms and there are no issues till date. I've red-lined it couple of times (I know diesel cars aren't supposed to be red lined, but due to sudden adrenaline rush :P) and I'm happy with the performance. Managed to take it up to 160 km/h with ease and the car feels planted on the road. Average fuel consumption is between 17-21 kmpl.

Currently I'm trying to maintain the all black look. Stickered the front and rear logos. Planning to tint the drls as well. It's either black or light blue tint!

Damn. That is one smoking hot Polo. The only reason I did not go for black was because it would be hell for me to maintain it (I already own a dark maroon colored car and I know the pains I have to take). But by God. Your Polo looks stunning. I saw pictures of your car in another forum (a very popular one I must add. You're a member there too :)). I didn't know that many people there are members here too.

First of all, about your alloys. Any idea about which model it is? And is 22.5k after discounts? I've been searching for Lensos just like yours in Kollam and TVM but could not find any.

Secondly, how did you blacken the VW logo on the grill and the grill slats? I mean, did you do it as a DIY? If so, where did you buy the material from? Looks beautiful (more so because your car is black).

Regarding tinting your DRLs, I say get light blue. It should suit the car perfectly. But of course, in the end, it is your call. :)

PS. I love the footwear on your i20 too. Awe-freaking-some I must say. Drop dead gorgeous alloys on both cars.

Thank you Vipin [:)]

22.5k is without any discount. I'm not sure about the model number. Try Lenso's official site. And I don't think that design is available in 15s now, only 17 inchers I guess. Not sure about it though.

I had my grille and logo stickered. Normal matte black sticker.

And I guess the car will look better with blue drl tints. Thanks for your input mate [:)]

Cheers..

Oh. Those alloys are 17 inchers eh? Damn. Not enough budget to change the tyres as well [frustration] But I started saving up for a set of alloys just like yours.
BTW, do post pictures after you tint your lights. I'd love to see more.

Engine noise? Well. It is certainly noisier than the Multijet engine but not as noisy as the iDtec. Hell. The Polo sounds refined compared to the iDtec.
Performance? In the stock car, there is considerable turbo lag till 2000 rpm after which she picks up her skirt and sprints. [clap]

Congratulations alot R-owl for your New Polo, accept it as i'm reading this thread for the first time.

Also loved the way you've maintained your Polo & the overall Black theme.. Simply Superb [thumbsup]
I really fell in love with that leather steering cover. Btw, from where do you got it ??

The FE which you're getting with so wide Alloys is also great for a 1.2 Diesel car.
Happy Motoring

The ones I have are 15 inchers. They stopped producing that design in 15s now I guess. I'll definitely keep you posted mate [:)]

Did you tint the DRLs black mate? It would be nice if you posted a picture with the DRLs switched on and also in color? [:)]

Car looks lovely. BTW, what do you think of eyelids for the headlights? I meant blackening only the top portion of the headlamps. Saw a couple of Polos with eyelids in Cochin last week and they looked gorgeous.

The pictures look good mate. But your car is begging for eyelids. Add them and the car will look even better [:)] BTW, nice tints. What kind of tints did you use to blacken the DRLs? How much did the setup cost you and from where did you get it done, if I may ask.

BTW, do you plan on taking your car to the newly opened 3M car care place in Cochin? Saw it when I came there last week. I hope it is like the famous one in HSR Layout, Bangalore where they do world class stickering jobs with carbon fibre vinyl.
