Hi friends,

Just returned from Kodaikanal trip. The trip was really nice. We had a great time with “Argento”. We covered around 550 km in this trip. Now my cute devil has crossed the first barrier of run in i.e. 1600 km.

Let me share few points from this trip:

1. This car is a true highway cruiser. The TDCI engine is super smooth at triple digit speed. No stress at all. Straight line stability is superb. Steering wheel weighs up nicely with speed. No vibration no wobbliness. The engine power and torque are enough. At 90 kmph simply tap the throttle and the car gathers speed really quick.

2. Wind noise: At 90 kmph we can hear the wind noise.

3. While operating the hand brake, drivers hand fouls with the front passenger’s seat belt lock.

4. Over broken roads there was no significant deterioration in ride quality.

5. Present road condition at kodaikanal is really bad. Full of pot holes and broken patches. I drove my car all over the broken patches, pot holes and at the end there was not a single squeak or rattle from the car

Hi DJD,

Congrats on your purchase. Please correct me if i am wrong. I thought only the Tit and Tit(o) variants will get the chrome finish on the grills but yours got that.

May i know if you have priced anything extra for that (or) it comes in Trend.

thank you nanomite for your wishes.

Front grill of Titanium and titanium(o) has chrome finish whereas trend version gets silver finish. In my car also it is silver finish not chrome.

Hey buddy!

Did you attach fog lamps to yours? Any upgrades on head lights?
No buddy. During my last visit to dealer i asked about the fog lamps. Now they are having sufficient stock. When i asked to install the fog lamps they told me installing fog lamps in ecosport is a lengthy process. It is not simply plug n play. It will take 1/2 day. On that day their workshop was busy. So i could not install the fog lamps. Hope during my first service i will get the fog lamps. Already my car odo is at 2200 km. I guess by next week i will go for 1st service.

Headlamps i dint do any change. Have you changed your headlamps??

Hi D.J.D, Vicky,

I am hearing the Philips xtreme vision headlamps are good. They also are of similar configuration as that of the one provided by Ford. The current headlamps are really not sufficient and I face difficulty during rains.

yes the stock headlamps of Ecosport are of no use. If changing the bulbs to Philips xtreme vision does not void warranty i will go for those bulbs. But my doubt is if wattage is same then how come philips xtreme vision will provide more illumination ??

have told this on ecosport review thread, but updating you again here to brighten the view

I have replaced default one with Phillips xtreme Vision, have fixed by dealer and the Service person who fixed it, confirmed and told me that its brighter than the default bulb given by ford.

Yes it is same as the wattage of default one, and doesn't need any other modification and it produces only the yellow light like default one but it is better bright,

i cant give you the picture by picture comparison because from day one i am using the Phillips xtreme on my Ecosport, soon i take photo i will publish it
if dealer doesn't object it wont void warranty

this bulb belongs to same wattage, and same type as default one, so you know how to convince your dealer,

during durga pooja holidays ill come to thanjavur Via your place

For the Phillips Xtreme Vision specs and photo of the bulb check Accessories and add-ons thread

Ya Venkat. Even I heard that they are doing better and do not void warranty as they are provided by ford.
But does Ford really provide these bulbs?
