What kind of DRLs are these? The COB ones with Metal Body? And how have you installed them? Whats the long term report?
Yes, COB with metal body. They perform very well so far. They are very bright. I dont even remember from which site i ordered these. But I think pretty much all sites sell the same item. I did the wiring my self. Connected the +ve to the fuse box. Currently fired when the engine gets on but I think it is not recommended and dangerous too. Better fire at ACC.

1. Going with what Alpha said, I Fail to see any distinct cutoff for these LEDs.
I am looking for a ideal wall [:)] I will post a pic soon , I will need your inputs.

From the Product Pics, It appears that you have unfortunately brought the COB (Wide chip) style LED rather than CREE or Philips-Luxeons.
You are correct! This is something I learned after installing only. [frustration] Initially I was thinking wider led=brighter output [lol]

Stuff the current Wide chip COB LED bulbs in High beam
Yes, thats what I have planned.

2. I've had better success with 4300k HID kit in H8 Fogs rather than LED kits. Reason is simple. H8 LEDs emit lights sideways but HID bulb has 360 Degree light. Fog Reflectors mate better with HID kits.
I will try to find one in AliExpress

Will this do ? Clicked from drive seat. Car some 10 feet away from the wall.
Hmm... The cutoff is there but there's a second cutoff (Rainbow) above the regular one. And That's what causing the glare and messed beam pattern.

Good Projector Cutoff likes like this-

And good fog one like this-

We shall continue with our original plan about stuffing COB lamps in high beam and getting better ones for low beam.[:)]

One thing which is slightly annoying me recently is the mild vibration I feel from the clutch pedal. Also a mild vibration felt in steering at the 1400 to 1500rpm range. I will have to check with SA in the next service. Otherwise absolutely no issues with Ciaz so far. (Crossed 15K in odo) . I have disabled the SHVS in my car, reason - it turns off as soon as I release the clutch , in a bumper to bumper traffic, I thought it will strain the engine and battery. Suspension is definitely soft but I kind of enjoy that, Ciaz simply glides through the roads.

Hi Chochi,

As you mentioned that you did not opt for synthetic oil during the 10K service, just wanted to check whether you are finding any difference in driving/performance post the oil change?

I am enquiring this because my Ciaz Zxi + is nearing 10K service by end of this month and I am also little skeptical about going for synthetic oil as its expensive and the oil change duration is equal to that of natural oil.

Also did the SA the service center mentioned anything about semi-synthetic oil?

I dont see any difference in performance. I have no plans on changing to Synthetic oil. Nope, my SA didn't talk about synthetic at all . May be because he knows I have a contact in his service center. [;)]

Great!!! In that case I will stick on to natural oil or buy semi-synthetic oil from shell. Thanks for the update Chochi.

Well some updates after long time!

No complaints on Ciaz , Cobra is absolutely running fine. Current odo is 23400. Completed the 20k service on April , total bill amount was Rs 7132. Is this on the higer side ?

Installed dash cams for front and rear. I bought these from Aliexpress for 30+ bucks. They are running with Novatek chipset. They dont have any lithium battery or capacitors. They have two lines for one to be connected to permanent 12v and one for ACC. I liked this idea. They also sent a free tester and dual USB charger [:D].
I will upload some sample videos.

Front camera. Yes, it is slightly bigger than I had expected.

All wires were routed through A pillar and connected to the fuse box located under the dashboard.
