Re: Monthly Discounts / Schemes on Indian Cars.

I curse you merc for not providing this option when I was hunting BMW
This was actually Merc's way to let you experience BMW [lol].
Btw, BMW is now offering Rs. 5.2L cash discount on X1.
My take - Go to Merc, tell them you want to switch over from BMW to Merc and then see what happens. [:)] When you finalise, let me know, I will find out more details here.

Apart from this, there was a BMW M3 2010 end model for Rs.38L, reason being sold was that the car consumes hell lot of petrol. [lol]

Heard from Ford SA: Ford is launching the facelift Figo on Oct 15th. Old models which are stocked at dealer will get additional gift if purchased within this period (apart from the 28K discount scheme). Gifts to choose from are:
1) Washing machine, 2) Micro oven, 3) Panasonic Home Theatre and 4) Panasonic Digital Camera.
Applicable only for dealer stocked models (pre-facelift) only.

Washing machine, micro over free with car ?? Seems Ford wants to sell Figo only to girls now. [lol]
I would appreciate if they directly give cash discount & leave it to user to what they want to do with the money saved.

5 months ? By this time, the model* becomes obsolete.[lol]
* = Not necessary a car model.

I was there at showroom early last week. Spent 2 days, covered Audi & BMW in 1 day & another day at Merc (all after leaving office a bit early). And in this, time at Audi showroom was completely wasted...the new A4 is so cramped, that steering was touching my knees (same issue I face is many cars & UVs, including Fortuner) & the rear passenger can't sit if front seat is pushed back. A6 was good but then, E Class is far superior. The only Audi which I like is R8. I will talk about exchanging your BMW for Merc offer but the best thing would be call BU Bhandari at 020-67212121. Ask for Ms. Sneha over there & speak with her as you are in better position to talk about your BMW.

The pre-owned section for BMW is also looked after by Bavaria Motors- The BMW dealer in Pune. The cell no. of concerned person Sunil is 9922970159. You can speak with him for the same. They also sell used Mercs. The showroom is located at Ganeshkhind road. The new ones are sold at Sadhu Vaswani Chowk, Camp. You can even give them your specific request, so as & when some car suiting your requirement comes, you will get call from them. If interested, enquire for non-registered company owned cars. This will help you save registration costs.

Correct, and I almost laughed but stopped short of doing that in fronts of salesrep. He should have bought base model petrol for better FE. Seems he realised the FE only after buying BMW M3 series.

BTW, I also saw a used Ferrari Spyder for sale at Merc showroom. Cost - Over 80L. FE = 2km/L. [surprise] I can't come from Pune-Mumbai with tank full.
And when I sat inside it, I realised how difficult it is to get in & out of it. One can kiss the road even when sitting on the seat. [lol] I even doubt whether one can take it out on the road for 500 m without scratching its bottom !!

BTW, I hope the above info is found useful by many members here.

^^ Visited a VW dealer 2 days back. He offered me free insurance (20K) + 5 K cash discount + 10K corporate discount = 35K. In addition there is an exhange bonus of 20K which I wasn't eligible for as I didn't have a car to sell.

Re: Monthly Discounts / Schemes on Indian Cars.

Got a good deal from a Hyundai dealer for an i10. I know i10 offers exist throughout the year. Just got slightly better. Booked an i10 sportz Carbon Grey color [:D]

For i10 sportz -> 40K cash discount + accessories (Remote locking, seat cover, mudflaps, door mats, Under Chassis painting, Steering cover). Tried pushing for reverse parking sensor, but couldnt get it. Need to buy it separately.

For folks in Chennai who are interested, DSC Hyundai is also offering 35K cash discount + accessories + Sony Xlpod music system + 2 front speakers on i10 Magna.

I was kinda leaning towards Magna because of the superb VFM, but Dad really liked the integrated HU on i10 and pushed me towards Sportz.
