Maruti AMT cars, SUVs see a price cut

Maruti Suzuki has slashed the prices of its AMT cars by Rs 5,000. The price cut is valid for its cars sold through both Nexa and Arena dealerships, including Baleno, Fronx, Wagon R, Dzire, Alto and more.

As per Maruti Suzuki, only 10 percent of Arena customers opt for an automatic car, while the number is double for Nexa buyers. To further increase the adoption of its AMT models, Maruti has reduced the prices by up to Rs 5,000 across the entire AGS range, barring the newly launched Swift. For the uninitiated, Maruti calls its AMT gearbox as 'AGS', which stands for Auto Gear Shift.

Citroen C3 Aircross Plus gets a price cut of Rs. 2.62 lakh

With the newly launched Dhoni Edition of the C3 Aircross, the carmaker has now announced discounts on select variants.

The Plus variant of the C3 Aircross attracts discounts of up to Rs. 2.62 lakh and is now available with a starting price of Rs. 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the Dhoni Edition is priced at Rs. 11.82 lakh (ex-showroom).

The C3 Aircross is powered by a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that generates 109bhp and 190Nm of peak torque. The transmission options include six-speed manual and a six-speed torque converter automatic gearboxes.

Maruti Grand Vitara discounts now at Rs 1.4 lakh, up by Rs 66,000

Cars and SUVs retailing from Maruti Suzuki’s premium outlet, Nexa, have greater discounts during the last week of June, as compared to the start of the month. Dealer sources tell us this is due to the greater backlog of inventory, and relatively slower sales. Among the biggest beneficiaries include buyers of the Grand Vitara midsize SUV, the Fronx compact SUV, and the XL6 MPV. The Baleno, Ignis and Ciaz continue with the same level of benefits, while the Invicto MPV remains on sale without any discounts.
