Wow, Pretty cheap. Do post a close pic. I also want them! I can easily go for DRLs instead of LEDs. Please suggest a place for them in the Front Bumper of Alto. Buddy, My alto's rear end looks very plane jane, I was thinking of adding some lights to it. Maybe LEDs! Do post some suggestions on where to add them. And, How much time did it took for installing the DRLs? Was it a DIY?

Yes, it was an offer so I got it for a really low rate. These are really small so got the new DRLs (which are still packed). I would suggest to fix them in the lower grill like I have fixed. Where do you want to fix LED's in the rear? The only option would be in the number plate section. It wasnt a DIY although it's extremely easy. Dont know how much time they took since I had given my car for some small dent repair.

Here are some pics. The new DRL's are bigger than these. The side indicators will be something like in the attached image.

@ Naveen, last picture with indicator on left side rear view is looking awesome. Please confirm how it actually works and how much you have paid for the job.

Great mods I must say.

Thanks NAveen for the pictures of DRLs. Should I gofor LEDs or go with DRLs?
At the rear, I am also planning the same, LEDs (White, or BLue) all around the number plate.

DRLs would look better. Try something like this. Around the number plate, try white light. Blue wont suit the number plate section as I have seen many cars with blue light. White will look good.

HID's on stock headlights are not recommended. Using in reflectors will cause the light to scatter. This will eventually blind oncoming traffic and most of the light will be wasted. There are many cars that dont have much scattering even when used in reflectors but they are not recommended.
HID's alone - 6k upwards
Projectors - 6k upwards
Readymade projector headlight (Entire headlight assembly) - 10k upwards

If you are looking for better visibility try to upgrade your stock bulbs to 100/90w. Since these are higher wattage bulbs you will need the entire kit which includes ceramic holders, relays, wiring harness.

If you are looking for looks then the only option is to go for HID's in stock headlights. But be careful, cops will track down these cars especially in Delhi (Heard from many of my friends).

There are many shops in Delhi that do mods like Retro Rides, Performance Zone, Autopsyche and many more.

Damn these cops!

So, buddy, to me, 10k for the lights is intolerable. I would rather get Alloys, Sub,amp, etc.

What wattage bulbs can be used on my stock headlight without any new holders, Wiring, etc.? I mean, Just put the bulb in the socket and it will light up!
Do shed some light on the 100/90w topic! :stupid:. Really, I am!

@lxi - Yes, I know. this is expensive. I shelled 22k for the headlights including HID's. If you need to use the existing setup the only option is to go for same wattage bulbs 55w but of different brand. Dont expect huge difference. It will be a marginal increase when compared to stock bulbs.
100/90w is the bulb wattage where 100w is high beam and 90w is low beam. This is wattage produced by this bulbs. Since stock cars can handle 55w, new components should be added. Normal holders cant withstand high temp when high wattage bulbs are used so ceramic holders and wiring harness to take that much wattage should be used. Relays are used for cut off. Just a safety precaution.

@Varun - As of now the indicators are still packed. They can be operated by connecting to the battery. yes, it will disturb the view (to a small extent). There's no other option. Here's one that I saw, but this will be expensive.

Naveen, your swift is looking very cool and sexy. One of the best mod I have seen, clean work.

I wanted to ask a few doubts.
How is the connection made to the ORVM indicators?

I have seen DRL which you have put in the front. Did you had any problem with water getting inside and getting the LED /circuit board damaged?

Because I had a set of DRL cost 3000/- and after one month of time 7 out of 10 LED got damaged. The shop keeper told its because of the water getting inside the DRL that fused the LED's.
It will be because of car washing which caused the water to get inside since it never rained after I fixed them.

Have you put any covering or something to protect it from water? and any realys required?
