After using Ertiga for the last 6 months ZDi version, I can say it is really an awesome car. I never felt any power lag and it has a great pick up with fully loaded plus luggage on roof. Even it has great pick up on hills and have great space inside(Best suited for 5 adults and 2 kids). Also, the average is brilliant. All in all Maruti Suzuki got a great product in their line up and will go long way. It is pleasure to own it. [:D]

thanks mahii,
Possibly gonna fit it,if only i get good returns on my stock HU.[frustration]

My car would would be coming around 1st week of april,so excited.[clap]

Another thing, with my accessory,i asked the technician, that 60/65w headlights wont work,so asked him with whether he can fix 100/90w headlights.
Technician:yes possible
me:so,bulbs with relay.
Technician:relay not required ,existing car wiring can handle 100/90w bulb.

me:(Dumbstuck)(bloody how??)

Because my current car to has a relay with 100/90w bulbs with relay!

Is this possible ?
Hi Patkar,

Yes, the stock bulbs are absolute ridiculous ones.. I have changed the bulbs to 90/100 philips - they typically connect it directly with the battery through a relay and it works well without any trouble.

Hope it helps..

If the headlamp had a glass lens like the Maruti 800's headlamp then it would've been ok to go for 100/90 ones.

The Ertiga comes with plastic lens for the headlamps and that will become yellow because of the extra heat from the 100/90 bulbs. The plastic housing is prone to melting because of the heat too.

If you have changed to 100/90 bulbs already make sure the holders are made of ceramic(chini matti)Else they will melt.

@Saby

Thank you for the information. Have you ever felt that it is not able to pull or having bit less power when 7 people on board with AC on??
A normal person won't complain anything about the performance with 7 people on board with AC On, But a performance seeker Might, but only till 2k rpm, On the other hand he will surely enjoy the acceleration after 2k rpm when the turbo kicks in.
Though on the highways, >95% of time car remains above the 2k rpm mark, So if you want an instant pickup from a standstill, you may be able to, but that with instant gear shifts, you will be on 3rd gear in no time(this might tease you in city traffic), but from 3rd gear and onwards, it's PURE FUN,
Even with 7 people on board, with AC on, Yes you'll definitely enjoy the ride!
All is you just need to know your car, how to get maximum out of it with right gear-speed/rpm combination! [:)]
So, I never felt the lack of power in any case.

@Saby,

+100, Though I have not driven this extensively, but was expecting the same thing what you have written. Because it is more less the same like my Ritz response, I just asked you when some people expressed saying that it is the same engine and capacity like Ritz and if it is 7 seater, then it may lag, but I was sure that it will never put you down, only the thing you need to know when to rev and how to handle it[:)]

And these people always forget the +15hp in Ertiga than in Swift/Ritz and they surely don't know how massive 15 horse power is.
O.T.- Bro. I love Ritz, her looks and of course it also have the mighty 1.3 ddis engine!
I think, from now onwards I'm bound to this engine. Sounds stupid, But true! :P

Can I order Ertiga with Burgundy Red Pearl colour in India

Indonesia has this colour

SUZUKI INDONESIA
Sorry mate, you can't.. If you are buying it and importing it that's a different story. But in India getting that colour through Maruti is not possible as far as I know..
The closest you can get to that color is the Firebrick Red which Maruti offers in India

Greetings,
Can anyone please tell me what is the kerb/curb weight for the Ertiga LDi (base model, not the ZDi)?

I can only find it for the ZDi, wich has 1235 kg. About the LDi and VDi there is no information on the web. Please, it is important as i need for my collage degree.

Hello!
Kerb weight of Pertol variants of Ertiga is 1,160kg.
1235 is of all Diesel variants(That's what Suzuki is telling).
I don't think there would be any considerable weight diff. bw the two as there is only diff. of airbags and alloy wheels which can make some difference.
