That was a very bitter experience. And an eye opener too.
How much was the camera worth for? Hope you got the reimbursement to your satisfaction. Still you should complain to Maruti.

@allhyundaicars that's really bad. I understand your frustration as I too have faced it on my car recently. I believe the workers of the dealership have started looking for such petty & unsolicited moves on customer's cars. This not only dents the trust of customer but hampers the image of the brand big time. BTW, can you share the dealer's name? It shall help other owners to be more cautious with them.

@mayankdixit - I bought it from AliExpress in November 18 for 5k. A newer version available at Amazon now costs 15k
Will buy ddpai mini(3500rs) which I bought for my verna recently. Wifi feature is a boon for dashboard camera.

With my calculations coupons received are worth 6k-7k. But I am unsure to give it to the sc, what if the advisor play foul games with the car. Not sure. Will see when the next service comes.
I had filed another SC's complaint in February/March and still there is no solution. Maruti sucks in this department.

Ye log kabhi bhi sudher nahi sakteSaya motors is among the oldest dealers of MSIL and its really bad to see their workers stooping so low and pulling a fast one on the customer. Shikhar you better follow your friend's advice and opt for some other good dealer.

Pathetic of Maruti to charge for the paper mat as well as interior protection covers.
I give Ford for complimentary services(Free checkups), never do they charge for these, everything is free. MSIL needs to understand that they will lose loyal customers if they are onto making money.

@Akash1886 - my Elantra needs dry cleaning and exterior buffing , will talk to the advisor if he will let me use the coupon for Elantra. And since they have offered me 25% discount on labor plus free alignment I will use them only. Will ask him to change all the stuff in front of me.

@VISHNUCARCRAZY - it's a known fact that insurance company is looted by everyone , be it car insurance or health insurance.
FNG guy charged me 1000rs for painting a part but in the claim he charged 1500rs. Even in health insurance someone told me that if you go by insurance they will charge let's say 50k and if you get it done by yourself they will charge 30k.

Another thing I wanted to ask is I am getting a bassy thump from the front suspension after the car goes in a big pothole. What could be the reason ?
Failed suspension or some bush cut ?

@allhyundaicars Can you make a video of the sound? (What's the steering position when you hear the sound?), also, does it occur always, or only at certain speeds?
Does it occur with the braking or without braking passing over the hole?

Phone won't capture the noise. It doesn't always happen but on bigger potholes at speed 15-20kmph. Doesn't happen in small potholes.

Spray some thick oil on strut assembly and check if noise gone.

Maruti Suzuki to proactively recall 181,754 units of some petrol variants of Ciaz, Ertiga, Vitara Brezza, S-Cross and XL6

I got a letter from my dealer stating my car is part of the recall. But the press release say it's only for petrol engines but my engine number and chasis number is mentioned in the letter. Will call the dealer and confirm if I have to bring my diesel car for the fix.
Ps : checked online and the website says my car isn't a part of the recall.

Being a starter unit, sometimes part can be shared for petrol and diesel sir.

This time got LLUMAR sunflim installed in the brezza. I would have chosen Garware but it wasn't available anywhere I tried.

2400 RS for sides and 1800rs for the front. No data available for heat rejection but it's 70% VLT.

So these turned out to be a waste of money. Just a little over 2 years and this is the condition of every side window and the rear glass. Pathetic quality compared to Garware.

Another parking sensor failed and the all the sensors stopped working. This is the 5th or 6th time I am getting the sensors changed.
Car's hood and fenders serves a purpose of a canvas as well

Reminder : get the pollution certificate if you still haven't got one.
