Re: Modding An Alto!

I guess the length is more than 800, hence you can ask the dealer to make a box as per the size below the tray..
And JBL's sub with its enclosure won't fit in our cars unless the tray is removed. Only custom made (size) sub enclosure can be used..

Yes, i also think so, how much would a subwoofer without a enclosure cost? What size would be ok for the deep bass?

Re: Modding An Alto!

I think in hatches it's better going in for basstubes. A JBL 1100W sub-woofer will cost around 4k i guess without the enclosure.

Yes you can go for these lights. The cost varies between 2.5k-3k. However, would suggest a headlamp upgrade over those roof lights. These roof lights become an eye sour for the oncoming traffic in cities.

+1 there. Moreover they wont illuminate the road one bit better and are illegal! Its better and wiser to spend the money on auxilliary driving lamps that can be fitted below the headlight level. Hella makes some great ones.

Re: Modding An Alto!

Yes, akash , i also think that it will blind the oncoming traffic but my bro says that it will look cool.

My bro says that we shall sell our car in next 3-5 years, so he wants to spend less on mods (people who want to buy a used alto will like stock ones as alto is not the car for modding purpose,he says)

He is insisting on these things and says it will be enough for that small baby-

Bumpers remain black along with door handles and other things. The Old orvms will be replaced by new orvms (black).
Chrome(with black) 12" alloy wheels will be added.
Tyres remain the same JKs (if upgrading what shall be the ideal size with 12" rims, I want that wide tyre look,no matter about the low or high profile)
There will be no spoiler on the back of the car , instead, a black shark fin type thingy will be pasted (What is the naME OF it?)
The car will not be debadged.
There will be no roof lights, instead, a pair of fog lamps and headlight upgrade will do.
The underbody LEDs are cancelled, instead of them, interior under dashboard lighting(for front) will be done in blue colour.
No tints and blackening of the B pillar.
No ICE upgrade,No GPS, And no interior modifying.
A sticker at the car's hatch door, below "MarutiSuzuki" and "ALto LXi", saying that "OVERTAKING PROHIBITED".[evil]

So, this is his style. I am smaller and i have to follow what he says. So, is the list ok.

It will look like this-(photoshopped image)(the picture of the car is from google)[evil]

Re: Modding An Alto!

What would be the price of the new internally adjustable ORVMs black coloured?

And, what is the name of the shark fin type thing ?

What would be its cost?

I like the tyres coming out of the car(offset). Can i get the same for alto with 12" alloys? What is the size of tyres for my above requirement?

If, not, what is the widest tyre size suitable for alto in which the car does not look low profile from the side? What would be the size?

I want that muscular and hunky looks? what to do?

Re: Modding An Alto!

Got the service done, At MASS, when i went to ask the price of the ORVMs, the guy said 2700 for internally adjustables and 1000for the other. It the price ok?

I thought that in 2700, i would get a nice spoiler or the painted bumpers! Why spent on the mirrors. They were available in white and black only.
