I'm in process of getting this done. Can you tell us what difference it makes in the ride quality of the car ?
To be honest, i didn’t find much difference in the ride quality.
Shot an email to Nexa asking how come changing only the absorber will change the ride quality and asked them to change entire suspension setup which includes, Coil Springs, Axle Beam etc.

A complaint has been taken by nexa. Awaiting response from dealer now.

Thanks,
Sandeep

i have also an appointment on the coming Thursday and i will also look forward to push them to change the entire suspension setup. Only for information i talked to my friend who bought 2017 make baleno and he told that the suspension of his baleno is absolutely fine and previously he had dzire. So from this i got that the whole setup should be changed to get this problem rectified.

hi all!
Just an update on suspension change. Today i went to magic auto G T karnal road industrial area new delhi as there was a appointment fixed when i mailed nexa experience. One of the service adviser and one driver along with me went in the car to check the suspension and after a ride of 2-3 km we returned and he checked the suspension by lifting the car on lift and said that everything is fine and then i showed him the screenshot that i took along with me from the of suspension changed from the team-bhp forum and then he called somewhere and said that he called other workshop as well and there is no suspension change is being carried out and also said that maruti will issue a circular if there is something needed to be changed. I tried to convince him but he said everything is fine. I want to know if someone here from delhi who had get there suspension changed. please reply.

Sandeep/Ashutosh, any luck with the Suspension change ?
For me, they changed the Shock Absorbers (P30) and I feel the ride quality is much better than earlier..
As I haven't driven other cars much, not sure if it's okay or still need the suspension change.

2017 models wont work with the older version of updates. The post october Balenos had Android auto from factory. I dont know any pre-October 2017 balenos that is updated to Android Auto. Dont try the older one, it will screw things up. Have to wait a bit more.

I got mine changed. Complete front and back along with beam got changed on 26th September.

There is difference in the ride now. Though the person in driving seat may not notice the difference, rear seat passengers can definatley spot the difference.

Hi guys,

Bought My Baleno on November 9th . I am going to complaint about the suspension during my first service , it is in a really bad condition.

Can you let me know is there any procedure to follow.

Also my idling rpm is very low, so even in a slight slope or bump in the road in traffic i have to hit the A-pedal to get the car moving in first gear. Anybody facing a similiar problem ?

Was it 8th nov 2015? or 2017. If 2017 there is no issue with your Suspension its all good. Don't worry and go ahead and drive the car.

How much is the idling rpm. I have an Ignis and idle rpm is around 600-800 .
The car does move forward without A pedal on slopes as well, but I usually give a bit of accelerator input to avoid stalling in city conditions. Go to any open road with slopes, pull the handbrake and start releasing the clutch slowly. When you hear the engine sound, release the handbrake and the car should move forward without A pedal. Give slight push to A pedal if required.

How low is your rpm?
Generally my baleno settles at 600rpm at idling, releasing the clutch moves the car forward without A-pedal push. maybe the slope angle is more[;)]

I bought my Balenp Alpha (petrol) high end model last year Dec 1st 2016, It had been one year now.

Would like to share some of my experiences

When I decided to change my car, I have visited Hyundai - i20 , honda -jazz and volkswagon - Ameo and finally decided to wait for 6 months to
get Baleno. We got the car at Kataria , koramangala, Bangalore with all the farewell celebrations they arranged like cake cutting, pic etc.. at
NEXA. I had my old santro drove 100000 kilometers and felt very sad to exchange it but finally had to do because I could not keep 2 cars.

Now my life started with Baleno.

The vehicle is good and plenty of leg space, so very happy but that happinesss not even lasted for 1 day
The first issue got is "clutch release" . The release was never smooth. Visted kataria and Pratham motors 3-4 times.everytime they were behaving as if there
is no issues and after insisting they adjusted something at cable.the issue never resolved. I removed the car mats and was driving for a while. The carpet at driver seat
is torned out because i removed mats. Even after first servicing at Kataria it did not resolve. One day I went Mandovi, Hennur road. The mechanic who drove the car
atleast acknowledge the issue. I was very happy moment During second service , they "greased the return polisher" This is one of the clutch component. It was completely dried.
So they greased it. Then the problem resolved.I asked works manager about this. He replied " sir every vehicle will have such kind of small issues".
Anyways I was happy and put back my car mats and enjoyed few days.

Then started second issue. The vehicle was jumping and moving very hard.Went to Mandovi again after 1 month. They acknowledged the issue and expalined need to change the suspension.
After a week, got approval but all the parts came only after 3 months. finally they replaced. so far so good

for my bad, third problem started. While pressing break it was so hard not even moving inside. I went Mandovi again , They said it is same across all vehicles and explained
me this Baleno has "cable break and clutch" unlike the hydraulic one (which is traditional). So if u keep pressing break continuously, it would not create sufficient vaccum.
So should not press break too much.. They also suggested in traffic, I have to control the vehicle with clutch, accelerator and hand brakes. I never had that skills.

Then I visited Kataria , initially they cleaned and dusted the break pedal. It was not resolved. Next day again I went Kataria and insisted them to resolve. because it is a brake issue.
Then after doing some research, they said it is a software issue (it was a surprise to me). They sent vehicle to Vittal Mallya road.
Thy have updated the software for this particular chasis number.Based of software, it released the vaccum it seems. Not sure what machine intelligence this is. finally resolved.

Fotgot to tell about one more encounter i Had in middle. The vehicle was moving very hard. I filled the nitrosun and tyre pressure was 29 psi.
but still vehicle was moving very hard. This went on for 2 months. Later I realised the tyre pins were loose, The pressure was slightly droping
They have tightened them Now it is ok.

But still there are 3 major issues.
1. The gear shifting is very hard. especially horizontal movement of gear is very very hard.Fully pressing clutch to change the gears have huge impact on my knees.
2. There is a lot of tyres sound comes inside the car.Inside it is very noisy.
3. The vehicle body is so weak, even if cycle hits , it creates a dent.

Not sure how to resolve above. Please suggest.

No need reiterate after all this, I am obviously very unhappy and drove 10000 kms so far but never got good satisfaction of driving this car.I see other cars with jealous looks.

Hi Guys,

Just an update from my end. just got back my car from the first sevice. The issue of forward movement without a-pedal thrust and in slope seems to have been sorted for now. Th idling rpm is still at 800 rpm , but the clutch seems to have been calibrated is the sense i get.

With respect to the suspension, i had complained and they reclaibrated the suspensions i belive and i could not find any difference and i have complained again, so they are saying they will be replacing all 7 suspension components under warranty and they have placed the order for the same.

I want to know is this full suspension replacement or just change in shock absorbers? Any pointers from people who have got their suspensions replaced?

Thanks
Ashok
