The gear oil drain bolt is located below the gearbox, it cant be opened using a spanner, instead a "bit" is required, which looks like the mounting point of an empty rachet.

Not sure I understand... did you mean allen key? If not, some pictures/links would be great. Allen keys are described at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hex_key
It is not an allen key, it is the empty air gun point (I really dont know the name), here are a few pics of the empty air tool (without any spanner type bits) with which Maruti service centers open the gear oil drain bolt in WagonR (even alto is similar)
dear aneesh, what size socket tool (the cap type oil filter wrench you have shown) have you used to remove the oil filter. I am confused whether to go for 70 mm or 68 mm. I need to purchase it online so I need exact specifications.
