See guys whatever you think or assume, the Nano fame is over.
The sales figures reflects it.
I heard the diesel version nano is only after 2 years, so i don't thing the current nano buyers are waiting for that launch.
@jayadev and Dharmesh
The people out here are no fools they knows that the 1L car cannot afford an Ac in it.
And so the people prepared to buy nano was never thinking of a luxury car.
Tata promoted some luxury to it and tried competing with the segment above it ,
It succeed for a period and ended up like this.
They tried to lift the nano from its segment ignoring the real nano customers.
I know many smart real customers waiting for an used nano that they can get it for 1L to 1.5L with luxury which is a bonus to them in this price.
About 800 to Nano i had posted my views in the thread 'Tata nano at its best', where i did hurt many nano owners and so i do not want to repeat it here.
Is there a way to find out the state wise sales of individual manufacturers.
I am particularly interested in the sales figures of the big 3 Germans in Goa as there appears to be a big descrepancy between the figures quoted by the dealers and the actual cars seen on the road.
Actually the A minus segment nano created did not take off. No body, specially the car buying people, want to be in the bottom of pyramid. Thats why despite being more spacious, safer, easier to drive, more fuel efficient, and cheaper than alto 800 it sales figure is a dud.
its the right time for TATA to learn all their mistakes right from the product design to the A.S.S and come back with some good products ( with a fresh design) and then bang the market.
Happy to see that Duster went in top 10.And,Vento's sales are getting increased.3055 Units is just excellent in March 2013.I m glad that we too bought a Vento.

You are going to be more proud the coming years.
Vento will will take over Verna soon.
Hundai cannot lead the market with their Crdi engine for a long time.
What he meant was, people buying the car in that bracket looks a car as an utility more than comfort and luxury.
@Alex, you can't blame Tata for not providing the said 1 lakh car, Blame the government for bringing in excessive taxes and rates on the manufacturers.
Still Nano is a better buy in the current price and literally there are no competitors.
What Alex fails to recognize is the unbeatable running and ownership cost of this cute little car.
Of course we Indian take our own time to accept a car .
^^^^ Me too waiting for long for the April sales figures !
I was wondering, if this thread could be renamed as "Annual sales figure or Monthly sales figure". ![thinking]
