Hmm, and what is Bang City ?? Bangalore ? Or Thailand ? [;)]
BTW, I managed to take pics from my cell phone of Taxi scorpio microhybrid. Will post them in evening.
From the Number plate, it's Bangalore.

Micro Hybrid is present in Scorpio M2DI, with bolero engine for taxi segment, meant for more mileage.
And not there in Scorpio Lx with mHawk engine.

Got call last Fri at Nagpur dealership. XUV is arrived & later came to know it was W8 [frustration]. Bang, I felt like [gun] that dealer.
I was told that all new bookings are mostly for W6 & there have been cases where W8 4x2 guys have switched over to W6.

Just out of curiosity did Mahindra change the name from XUV 5oo to XUV 500 ? They refer it as 500 in their Facebook posts too.

hii guys [:)] i just wanted to share my views on XUV.

i drove the car to mussoorie last week and it is surely a very good car to drive [thumbsup]

it was my cousin's car.

* The cabin is so silent. it's more silent then my cousin's car.

i was driving around 80kmph when a verna overtook us. and i could hear the verna's engine sound in our cabin [lol] but not our own engine's sound.

* loads and loads of features. he has the top-end model so it has everything.

loved the cruise control and hill assist. these were helpful in many situations.

* the beep sound when the car goes above 150 kmph.

now one peculiar problem me and my cousin faced through out the journey.

there was a sound most of the time when we applied brakes. the sound like tyre touching the body of the car.

my cousin says it's a manufacturing defect since he already replaced break pads twice. the car has covered 6000 kilometers. so any other xuv owner facing the same problem ?

OK, finally, 1st of the 3 trucks arrived yesterday. This is silver W6 (all 3 are the same in anycase [lol] ). Following pic taken at showroom.

The car in silver colour parked on left hand side in picture looks like Tata Indica. [;)]

That must be the wind & tyre noise buddy. You hear similar sound when driving close to road divider.

Congrats hope you enjoy it a lot
Congrats Sclass on your new XUV, wish you happy miles ahead.
Thank you both but I am not going to drive it (nor will it be in my name) but will just make long drive for first hand report here.

Apart from this, there has small change taken place. Earlier it was all W6 in silver colour. Now it is 2 silver W6 and 1 white W8. Mamaji didn't liked the interiors of W6 (red colour) & he has personal liking (like me) towards white. He called me & asked what to do. He said hell with sensors & touch screen & other fancy features. If those don't work, we will throw it away. [lol] We consider the W8 premium only for white color with brown interiors (additional 4 airbags & alloys are bonus). Having all 3 XUVs in same color looks like "Baand-baja wale" [lol]. As my relatives were in Pune this week, no one was there to take the delivery of W8 and it is now lying with dealer. Will take delivery in Navratri of remaining XUVs.

When I will go to Nagpur, I will then have a straight comparo between silver W6 & white W8 and we will then discuss if W8 is indeed worth paying more or not..........this will be TAI first. [:)]
