this quote seems to be fine. Rs. 5000 is okay for the paid service since the oil, oil filter & fuel filter will be changed.

in the other quote, they are also quoting to change the differential oil which need not be changed in 20000kms service.

but i am surprised how service charges are more in bangalore & less in mumbai. my 20000 service bill was Rs. 4436/-

How about that balancing , I feel something fishy.
The first dealer has made less in spares and added extras.
And the second one has quoted what all required.
May be he may also recommend Wheel alignment.
How the weights are added, i am really confused because alloy wheels don't bend.
Its only required for non alloy ones.
This time i will go with the new dealer will see what happens.

Be it alloy or steel wheel , it needs balancing. there will be least difference on both side of the wheel as everything is not 100% perfect.

Same is the case with tyre , some part there will be more weighted on rubber .

Apart from this you may break hard , turn a stationary vehicle's steering and etc - way to peel or the layer in very minute possible way.

So a wheel balancing is needed!

For proper wheel balancing , the wheel must be well cleaned , tyres must be free of dirt and stones

as i told you before, even alloys need balancing. if you know a reputed tyre shop, get it done there instead.
Yes raj i will make it done this time, As this time i have planned for a trip to Goa.
So dont want to take chances.
Raj one friend of mine did tyre balancing outside dealer , To my shock he said he had done it with Bridgestone authorised tyre dealer.
After alignment they had added weights and had even worsened the car.
So will have it done at the A.S.S itself.

Well guys time has come.
My Car will visit A.S.S tomorrow for the 4th Service.
After a long wait and still doing 17,500 kms on ODO going for 20K [sleep]service.
And the 1st dealer has offered 10% off on Total Service amount & 5% offer on spares.[:)]
So got a best deal.
Will update tomorrow.

the same question- why so soon? why not at 20k?
I am not dropping tomorrow , The A.S.S told that they would handover the car to me on Monday evening.
So will drop on Monday itself.
Got a call in the Evening that they are falling short of Service people.

A.S.S is claiming that extended warranty would be void if the vehicle is not serviced on time.
As the last service(3rd) was done on Nov-09.
And now its already 7 months and that too i have planned a trip for Goa.
So don't want to take chances with all the family members on board.
Though my Scorpio behaved well all through West India Trip, So after that i couldnt go long drive and the vehicle is lagging behind on its ODO reading.
And mainly after the tyre damage all our long trips came to a halt.
So i am worried now whether to change the spare tyre with a new one or go with it.

And raj the power window button on left in the middle row is a bit tight, So i have thought to replace it.
Is that covered under warranty.?

Well guys today i am dropping my vehicle to A.S.S.

Problem:
The power window button in the rear left of the middle row is quite hard.
And there is gear vibration Esp on 3rd gear the gear knob vibrates.
I have got assurance from customer care that this would be taken care of.
Let me see what happens.
