At the time of launch, the vehicle was introduced at an introductory price across variants. The vehicle, currently Kia Motors sole offering in India is already BSVI compliant. This ensures no further price hike anytime in the near future on account of engine upgrade.

Those who are still awaiting delivery of a Kia Seltos even if booked sometime in 2019 will have to absorb the price hike. As it stands, the price revision isn’t too steep and ranges from 20k to 35k depending on variant.

Since launch back in August 2019, this is the first price revision for Kia Seltos. Since launch, Seltos has established itself as a worthy segment offering garnering much interest and recognition, and a huge transference o this positivity to sales. Monthly sales has been phenomenal for the most part.

Only in China: Kia Seltos with aircraft-style gear lever featuring digital indicator

The Kia Seltos sold in China, officially known as the (all-new) Kia KX3, was unveiled at the 2019 Guangzhou International Motor Show. While it appears to be same as the India-made version and the South Korea-made version, it is a bit different when it comes to features and specifications.

This is the same gearshift lever that's offered in the 2020 Hyundai ix25

To start off with, the Kia Seltos manufactured in China is bigger. It is 4,345 mm long, 1,800 mm wide and 1,650 mm. The India-made version is 4,315 mm long, 1,800 mm wide and 1,645 mm tall. The version made in China, just like the version made in South Korea, has a 2,630 mm wheelbase. The version made in India has a 2,610 mm wheelbase. The Chinese SUV misses out on the vertically stacked ice cube fog lamps.

On the inside, the design is nearly identical, but have a closer look and you'll notice a big difference. The sleek gearshift lever offered in the Chinese-spec Kia Seltos is a unique, aircraft-style unit. It is not only more stylish but also more technologically advanced. It has a digital display for the prevailing gear (Park, Neutral, Reverse or Drive).

Kia Seltos Mid-Variants To Get More Features From Next Month In India

The hot-selling Kia Seltos will receive new features in the mid-spec HTK Plus and the top-of-the-line variants from April

The five-seater SUV is made available in Tech Line and GT Line trims. The former has five variants: HT E, HT K, HT K Plus, HT X and HT X Plus and the latter has three: GT K, GT X and GT X Plus. From next month, as per the dealers, the Seltos’ equipment list will be updated with new features as the mid-spec HTK Plus will gain USB port for rear occupants, dual-tip on the exhaust and emergency brake signal with a marginal hike in the prices.

The top-end variant will also get dual tip exhaust unit. Some of the key features offered in the Seltos are 17-inch hyper metallic alloy wheels, TPMS, LED headlamps, LED DRLs, LED fog lamps, LED tail lamps, 10.25-inch HD touchscreen navigation, Kia’s UVO Connect system, smart pure air purifier, black and beige interior, leather seats, smart key with push button start, automatic AC and rear door sunshade curtain.

It also offers electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, front parking sensors, eight-way power adjustable driver seat, 8-speaker Bose sound system, 360 degree camera, blind view monitor in cluster LCD, etc.

Kia Seltos Refresh launched with more features & a LOWER price: To challenge Hyundai Creta

The refreshed Kia Seltos now comes equipped with 10 novel and exciting features that were not available before.

Some of the existing features that were earlier available in the higher trims are now available in lower variants as well. Features such as Rear USB charger, Sunroof with LED room lamp, metal scuff plates, leatherette gear knob, front tray USB charger, printed dashboard garnish are now available in lower trims as well.

All the variants now come with Emergency Stop Signal and the automatic variants now get Smart-Key remote engine start option as well. 2020 Kia Seltos compact SUV: New TVC out

The video has been uploaded by Kia on their youtube channel only. It starts by showing a mischievous kid who has just been dropped off to his stop in his school van. He has a colour chalk that he took from the school like many other children of that age normally do. He then starts having fun by scribbling it over the wall, fences, dustbins and even a poor car that was parked on the street. After sometime, he reaches the place where the Seltos was parked. He gets excited when he sees Seltos and moves ahead to write on the SUV. The moment he moves, the car turns on with a growl and the kid runs away from the spot.

Kia Seltos Anniversary Edition Launched In India; Prices Start At ₹ 13.75 Lakh

Kia Motors India has a launched a special edition of the Seltos ahead of the festive season and the updates on this one is not limited to just cosmetic additions. The Kia Seltos Anniversary Edition is based in the HTX variant and prices for this this model start at ₹ 13.75 lakh for the 1.5 manual transmission petrol variant while the 1.5 petrol CVT automatic trim has been priced at ₹ 14.75 lakh. The 1.5 diesel manual variant will cost you ₹ 14.85 lakh and these prices are ex-showroom, India. That said, the Kia Seltos Anniversary Edition won't be offered on the 1.4 turbo petrol GT Line trims and not even on the 1.5 diesel automatic variants.

The Kia Seltos Anniversary Edition is 60 mm longer than the regular Seltos and comes with a host of exterior and interior updates over the regular Seltos. For starters, the tusk shape skid plate with silver diffuser fins, tangerine fog lamp bezel, new 17-inch raven black alloy wheels with tangerine centre cap, all-black interiors and raven black leatherette seats with honeycomb pattern among others. The feature list remains identical to the one we saw on the regular HTX variants including remote engine start for manual transmission, Touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a sunroof among others. The Seltos Anniversary Edition will be available in four exterior colours - one monotone aurora black pearl, and three dual tone colours - glacier white pearl with aurora black pearl, steel silver with aurora black pearl and gravity grey with aurora black pearl.

Posting the first ever picture of the complete dashboard of the 2021 Kia Seltos HTK Plus iMT.

The uniqueness of this dashboard is that it has an auto climate control ac along with the 8 inch touch screen and not the 10 inch one in the upper models.

This is for all who wanted to see the complete look. Just to sum up, for an extra 40k. you would be getting the below in the HTK Plus iMT version over the HTK Plus.

4. Beige Interior (makes the interior premium and spacious)

Kia Seltos catches fire while driving: Service centre repairs it for free

The owner of the car reveals a number of problems he has faced with the Kia Seltos. During the ownership of 9 months, the HTX+ variant of the Seltos has been various problems but he focuses on the latest problem, which caused the car to catch fire.

According to the owner, while driving the car to Jaipur, the air conditioning unit of the car stopped working for the second time. After taking the car to the service centre, the mechanics changed a part in the vehicle and also said to the owner that he got the vehicle for repairs at the right time. Any delay could have caused the car to catch fire.

After one hour of repair, the car caught fire. Smoke started coming out of the engine bay and the onlookers converged to help douse the fire. The fire caused a lot of damage in the engine bay and melted wiring, fuse box, fuel lines and many other parts. The total estimate by the service centre was Rs 6 lakh. It was repaired for free without claiming the insurance.

Kia Seltos to get 6 airbags as standard ahead of Govt regulations mandating it

The Kia Seltos compact SUV is all set to gain 6 airbags across all trims, according to a new report on Team-BHP. Notably, the Indian government’s regulations mandating 6 airbags on all cars sold here come into force from 1st October 2022. The addition of airbags is likely to make the Seltos a safer SUV. The Seltos already offers 6 airbags on the top-end trims, and the lower trims get 4 airbags as standard. The addition of two more airbags is likely to result in a marginal price increase. Ex-showroom prices of the Kia Seltos start from Rs. 10.19 lakh, going all the way up to Rs. 18.45 lakh. The Seltos was Kia Motors’ first car for the Indian market, and has been a super-hit ever since launch in 2019.
