Kia SP2i SUV first official teaser sketches – Ahead of India debut in June

The Kia SP mid-sized SUV made its debut as a concept at the 2018 Auto Expo. The same has now been revealed in production ready form, but as a sketch. Official debut will take place on 20th June. It is a futuristic SUV, boasting of bold styling and a unique design. Kia SP2i (codename) is specially developed for the Indian market. It has already entered production at the company plant in Anantpur, Andhra Pradesh.

Kia Seltos is the name of SP SUV for India – Spied during TVC shoot

Kia Motors is all set to launch its first product in India in the coming months. Ahead of the official unveil, which will take place on 20th June 2019, the SUV has been spied undisguised in the US. Wearing the name of Kia Seltos, this new C segment SUV is a global product.

Both the variants do get 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment units. The Indian variant will have the media unit wrapped in piano black panel, which also surrounds the instrument cluster. However the global-spec vehicle will have a stand-alone media-unit. The other minor change between the two variants is the way the grey/silver accents are included in the central AC vents.

Kia Seltos first teaser video released – Claims to be The future of Design

The name Seltos is derived from the Greek mythology of Celtus, who was the son of Hercules. Based on an all new platform, Kia Seltos follows the same design format as seen on the SP Signature which Kia showed off in Korea. Watch the first teaser video of Kia Seltos below.

Kia Seltos front officially revealed in new video – Wine Red colour

Kia Seltos, earlier known as the SP2i, front has now been revealed. This video, uploaded in YouTube shows off its distinctive and attractive Wine Red colour scheme. It also details some of its exterior features with a tiger nose grille, sleek headlamps with chrome accents and a shark fin antenna.

The video also details its dual tone machine cut alloy wheels, the LED rear tail lamps and LED DRLs. The video ends with a silhouette of the new Seltos giving us some idea of what the production ready model would look like.

Latest spy shots of Kia Seltos interiors reveal dashboard, touchscreen system, steering wheel as well as the instrument console. The steering wheel is wrapped in leather, and features controls for audio, phone calls, volume, cruise control and the MID.

Kia Seltos SUV Makes Global Debut In India

Kia Motor India has finally revealed the Seltos compact SUV in India and it's the production model based on the SP Concept which the company showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. One look at it and you see that the Seltos remains true to the concept that was showcased and that's great news because we loved the concept. Right up front, you see Kia's signature Tiger nose grille which has faux silver surrounds.

The Kia Seltos SUV will be available with a 1.4 litre Turbo GDI petrol engine and a diesel engine. The transmission options include a 7-speed Dual clutch transmission (DCT), 6 Speed Torque Convertor Automatic, A CVT automatic and of course a 6-speed manual transmission as well. This is the first time a compact SUV will be available with so many transmission options.

Kia Seltos Bookings To Start From Second Week Of July 2019

The pre-bookings for the soon-to-be-launched Kia Seltos compact SUV will commence in India from the second week of July 2019. Slated to be launched sometime in August, the all-new Kia Seltos made its global debut in India this week and upon launch, it will go up against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier, and possibly even the MG Hector. The Kia Seltos will be available in two distinct design lines - Tech Line and GT Line, and is likely to be offered in multiple variants in order to have a competitive starting price, while the top-end model, with all the bells and whistles, will come with a premium price tag. We expect the SUV to be priced between ₹ 10 lakh and ₹ 17 lakh (ex-showroom).

Seltos is another feature rich connected car, the likes of which are creating a buzz here. The 10 to 20 lakh crossover segment is going to be exciting for the consumers. Already in a segment below, Hyundai Venue has raked up more than 30,000 bookings. Seltos might impact MG Hector and Tata Harrier besides ofcourse Creta and Duster types.
