I compeltely with that one. You know what, we have some go foresighted politicians who will not release any plans unless it is mutually beneficial [;)] Couple of years back, there was a proposal for a high speed highway connecting Kerala from one end to the other. Then the real estate mafia started its ground work, and those who where unsuccessful opposed. As usall there were environmentalists in the front. Now, some on told me couple of days back that the same plan is coming again in to picture with a different name; this time by the then opposition party!

Guys lot's of twists going on over here.
The other car is driven by my bro & they are not confident, So they are thinking to travel in a TT.
I am against it.
So this trip might cancel as of now.
And instead we are thinking for some other place.

I dont think you should cancel your trip. The rains have decreased since yesterday and the skies are clearing up over here and its a little sunny too.
Also keep some cans of Redbull to keep you energized while on the road.
And I guess its not that hard travelling in a two car group, only the car in front has to ensure that the other car is just behind and stays there without going off sight the RVMs.
I always prefer to travel in a group,be it cars or bikes. We've done groups of upto 5 bikes and upto 4 cars. We always overtake only if there is room for all of us to get across or we do it two by two. You might cover less distance but its better to go not too fast when on a road trip. That way there is a lot you wont miss and can see and the drive will be more relaxed.
You feel safe and confident too. And in case a car breaks down or something there is always the other car for support.
Hope I'm not going off-topic with this-
Once while alone on a bike from Bengaluru toThodupuzha,I befriended a Volvo FH 12 guy just after Bengaluru in a highway block. He was destined towards Kochi and I was there till Angamaly (on route to Kochi for those of you who dont recognize the place). We motored together and halted for tea and food along the route and it was fun doing that.
I was in front of him and always overtook cars only when he too could. The FH 12 can do some good speeds on the highway too. I also signalled him when he couldn't see ahead and was unsure whether he could pass another vehicle. We looked out for each other and we parted routes at Angamaly after motoring together for more than 400 kilometers.

That's an excellent experience jalex ! I think such on road etiquette are some thing we need to develop. It is always important to realize and accept that the other automobile on the road is equally important as of you and need to be respected. I have seen this happening with bikers here.

what people for outer states often don't realize is the fact that munnar isn't the only thing kerala has got to offer. infact compared to wayanad, munnar is nothing but a honeymooner's camping zone. wayanad is for the braveheart. trekking, rock climbing, mystery islands, isolated waterfalls, and loving natives. worth spending three days.
And most importantly unlike the places at munnar, wayanad hasn't yet been spoiled. no dirty shops selling bangles,or bajji shops littering the place. its pure virgin country. and its the real God's own abode.
what kerala has got in addition to these , is the variety of beaches. ranging from the kovalam and varkala in the south, to the kappad and baikal in the north. all uniquely beautiful. infact if would suggest 5 days at wayanad and calicut. so much to do there.

Re: God's Own Country!

I have heard quite a lot about the traffic conditions in Kerala. The video is scary. It may look interesting with a bus drifting on indian roads, but it is way too dangerous for the pedestrians and others on road. I guess that Bus driver was doing good speeds and a slightly higher speed would have lead to the bus turning turtle.

I did not shoot it myself, I just came across the video on Facebook. And it is shocking to see this.

Exactly, I too dont find it interesting but shocking. Like you said the bus can roll over and it has a leaf spring set up for suspension as well, imagine what might happen if the ones on the left side break due to all the weight being transferred to the left side. In my part of Kerala bus owners mix kerosene with diesel to make a profit. But in the Northern part of Kerala, They modify the engine, reduce the compression ratio and mix a little petrol along with diesel to make the bus a missile on wheels. From what I have gathered those buses can exceed 110kmph while a normal one can only do 80-85kmph tops. Also they are supposed to be fitted with a speed governor mandatory by law which makes it impossible to cross 60kmph.
