Re: My "Family Car Hyundai Xcent SX VTVT" Ownership Review

hi congrats for new car..

how is pickup with AC..

Kindly update FE..
Thanks Dinesh, AC doesn't effect pickup much. After around 1000 kms fuel efficiency 12-13kmpl riding on both highway and city traffic with AC on all the time.

Congrats & have a safe ride[drive]
Interiors & finishing of Hyundai cars speaks for themselves...[clap]
Thanks Prad easy drive. Actually you are right Interior quality is far better than cars in the same segment.

Hi Gagan, Congratulations on your new ride!!

This car is well equipped with all the creature comforts we can think of (in this price competitive segment)

I haven't seen anyone booked a Diesel variant in this thread. I am planning to book a Diesel one soon. Any ownership experience for Diesel Xcent will be helpful.

Re: My "Family Car Hyundai Xcent SX VTVT" Ownership Review

Yesterday went and checked out the vehicle and did a quick inspection. Looks good, but would be even better once they have it all washed up before delivery.

Spent a good amount of time arguing with them for taking my own insurance instead of the supposedly superior "Hyundai Insurance" (had the same discussion at least 2 times before yesterday). I didn't get down from my demand and finally they agreed to my own insurance. I took a zero depreciation insurance from ICICI Lombard and today gave them the copy and finished all the form-20 stuff.
The car will be registered tomorrow and I have planned to take delivery on thursday afternoon.

Will post an initial ownership thread after I get at least a few hundred kms on the odo.

Hi Cnus8n,

That's great. I know you must be anxious to get the hands on your new ride.
So how much did ICICI quoted for your Xcent? My old car is insured with ICICI Lombard and want the same for my Xcent. I have a 35% NCB on my old car and want to transfer the benefit on the new one. I will be working closely with the dealer to get this done.
Please keep us posted on your ownership experience.
Cheers!!

Hyundai offered a comprehensive insurance for Rs.25307.
I chose zero depreciation add on with ICICI and paid Rs.22345.
I just bought it online and used the premium calculator provided in their site. There was also a guy on chat support helping me in answering most of the questions I had.
You can also factor in the NCB calculation while buying the insurance online. As this is my first car I didn't have any NCB.
