What did they use to smoke your taillamps? And how much did it cost? The car looks real good. Carbon fibre vinyl looks better than expected. Congratulations

EDIT: Just saw that your car is running on steel rims!!! Change it ASAP [:)] Some lovely black alloys to compliment the black roof and white color

Thanks gears 1313. Thanks alot friend. I will get it but as i will go with 16 inches alloys i want to use all the rubber from stock tyres. Till then i have to use rims only coz its only 8k kms old.

VipinLJ: i was having two choices. 1st to use garware film or secondly gumless tape specially designed for lights smoking. Garware film was available for Rs. 700 and gumless tape was for Rs. 1000. As it was easy to remove in future if i wanted to and do not leave any kind of marks on lights i preferred gumless tape. at last... Yes carbon fibre gave better looks then expected. [:D]

Well if its about the warrenty then don't do it. But I was taking about smoking it like the lights in the new variant of the Vento and Polo.

That would require opening up the headlamps and then painting it. I would advise that only if experiences people do it else it can turn out to be a nightmare.

Gumless tape did you say? Let me ask around here. Most places I asked do spray painting. The problem with that is that I cannot go back to stock if I want to. That was what put me off. Let me see if I can find gumless tape here. Rs. 1000 still is cheaper than Rs. 1500 which was what people here told me would cost.

VipinLJ¦ yes bro its like mobile screen lamination. When you dont want to have it anymore, just rip it off from your lights without any marks.

ok so i went to the car market near my home. 3 of the guys quoted just 550 rupees for the normal plain black vinyl. i checked the material as well.

himalayan is it fixed by glue ?

also , one guy told me that he'll get the carbon fibre vinyl on order for 1200 rupees. don't know how it will be [confused] yours look good.

and for the tail lamp , one guy said 150 rupees and another 450 rupees. seriously don't know what will be the difference between these.

Thanks for the info himalayan3009. I'll check around here to see if anyone has heard of such a thing though I'm not hopeful, it being Kollam/Trivandrum.

You mean the entire roof for Rs. 1200 and both taillamps for Rs. 450? Damn. That is cheap. I mean. Here in kerala (Kollam), like I said, the tail-lamp smoking alone costs Rs. 1500-1800!!!! Day light robbery if you ask me
