Got the CNG service done yesterday.

the guy opened a new bigger shop and hiked the prices to 650 rupees. paid him 450 [:D] still 50 rupees more than the previous CNG service.

The car is smooth again. AC doesn't trips anymore. Washing and Cleaning due.

ODO at 78500 kilometers.

don't love these kinds of updates [sad]

an auto | tempo rear ended my car. the car in front of me, innova, applied emergency breaks , he was driving without any gap from cars in front of him and applied similar brakes 2-3 times [frustration] i too applied but the person in that tempo couldn't.

hearing the sound of the accident the innova guy floored the accelerator.

i stepped out of the car , saw the damage and what could i say to the tempo wala. just told him should have stopped in time but obviously the brakes aren't the best. so i left.

damage :

got it fixed for 250 rupees. the work wasn't even worth 150. [anger]

tail light yet to be fixed.

Ouch, that hurts. it reminds me of my maruti 800, but in that scene i rear ended the tempo in Chandigarh resulting broken head light and dented bonnet of my car.

it looks like you need to fix nimbu-mirchi in your rides as soon as possible. but seriously saying i hate these rikshaw-walas and tempo-walas for stopping suddenly anywhere or driving like insane knowing that their crap will not stop in emergency. Thank god that in Shimla we do not have any rikshaw or autos. [:D]

yeah that indeed is a good thing but still it's very dangerous in hills. have seen the pics you uploaded in the accident thread :|

coming back to rickshaws. 10 minutes before the accident one auto jumped the red light , i saw him coming but i was at around 60 so had to hit the brakes really hard [anger]

well that's because tyres are new and you are comparing new tyres with your santro' old tyres. obviously there will be an improvement [;)]

After tyres, also gave car for service today.clutch, suspension, oil, coolant, wipers, etc all will be changed. Belts have been changed earlier. Also told to polish the interiors. Now lets see how much will this cost. Anything left to change?
Btw,doing all this for first time santro has never ever given any pain.A really hassle free car, reason behind not selling the car.Going strong at 91220 km's

@ silverjet - agree with nick , my santro's clutch is fine. but at times the clutch wire gets lose so there's difficulty in shifting. local mechanic tightens it in 2 minutes and the clutch comes back to normal.

and for how much time you are planning to keep the car ?

I have tighten the clutch with local mech many times and now it has became really loose so local mech also told to change it. I would keep the car till the day when it will become totally unusable. I am very much attached to santro and don't want to sell it.(A guy is willing to give Rs.250000 for my dec 2006 car with 91000 kms on clock)
