From the spy pics the car seems as big as the duster and has loads of on road presence,could be the duster/terreano nemesis but I don't think this will be priced anything below 10 lakh rs,but even if it's top end variant may cost about 15 lakhs I think it's much better than duster and terrano,
Features and interior of this car is sure to beat the standards
What's to be seen is the suspension setup,if it's good,it's going to be a massive hit even among some erstwhile enthusiasts which will by default is a block buster as any Hyundai is in India

More detail surface from china on the iX25. It would measure > 4m and would take on Suzuki's S cross, Terrano and Duster

The 1.6 liter petrol engine of the iX25 will be borrowed from the Hyundai Verna/Accent/Solaris. The same petrol engine is expected to be be offered on the India-spec iX25 SUV as well. The India-spec compact SUV will also get a turbo diesel engine, likely to be a 1.6 liter CRDI turbo diesel unit borrowed from the Verna.

Its known to all that Hyundai cars all has good fit and finish, with good looking styling and quality upmarketish interiors, and they follow market trend on safety futures

WOW. This thing looks like a worthy competitor to the Ford Ecosport, Duster. Being a Hyundai I expect this mini SUV to be priced aggressively. Not sure if those LED tail lamps will make their way to the Indian model, but I am pretty sure of the equipment level to be high as it is with their all the cars.

Hyundai's ix25 reaches India, testing begins.

Seen here is the ix25 (disguised of course) with its chief rivals, the Duster and EcoSport. Where the EcoSport measures under 4 meters in length, the Duster is a good 4.315 meters and the ix25 (for the Chinese market) comes in at 4.27 meters. The Hyundai has its other dimensions set at 1.78 m in width, 1.63 m in height and 2.59 m in wheelbase.​

The ix25 will be tweeked a bit for indian conditions and come with the Verna 1.6 l engines. It will be only a 5 seater and competing with Duster. Release in India in 2015.
