Thanks Arun, Vijay & CC for your comments!

To frankly say its not always what magazine are claiming. I have driven fabia, Ritz & i20.

I dont want to name the Car Mag, They told Ritz Diesel is the best when compared to i20 & Fabia & they told Ritz is VFM.

I am not telling that Ritz is worst car or i20 is the best car, it is a good car for the price given, But why do they compare Ritz which will not even come close to Fabia or i20 ? [frustration]

good review and thanks!

1.somehow i don't like EPS because they lack the kind of feedback i want from my car. agreed that in city driving they are much better as they are lighter.
2.i think fabia is the only car that can somehow and somewhat match the ride and handling of punto. i20 for me is no way near.
3. i like the i20 interiors.
4. electrically foldable mirrors is a big +!!
just my opinion though

Thanks Ichimaru!

Yes. Agreed that i20 cannot match exactly the comfort level of Fabia, becaue of the soft suspension setup which makes the ride little feeble in potholes.

But on buying a car we have to consider few more factors like A.S.S & Resale Value!
On taking these aspects i20 definitely scores over fabia or punto!

I can say every car is good at one aspect. So we cannot own or get a cocktail of all of them. [cheers]

Can't agree anymore. But very frankly speaking i have seen more of the non FIAT owner/drivers to complain the most about FIAT cars/a.s.s/power etc.

i20 has its own USP's. as i have said electrically folding mirrors is a big plus for me and the provision of 6 airbags is something i never expected from hyundai in a hatch of this price![thumbsup][clap]

also, with the launch of jazz i20 has suddenly started to look such a good VFM car.

I too agree with Zinam. I recently booked i20 because of its features abs, airbags, ASS and resale value. I love the folding mirror option and its perfect for my use. The ground clearance could have been improved.

2 in the front and the rest are window curtains! That gives you much safety. If you can live with the petrol heart and decently powered car, then i20 1.2 Asta (O) is the best and safest buy in the hatch back segment.

The i20 Diesel comes with only 2 Airbags.

Source: Hyundai India website.
Is there a good enough reason for not offering 6 airbags in Diesel varients or just like that Hyundai thought that because prices of petrol is sky high and people who can afford needs extra cushion ? [glasses]

Bad idea Hyundai. [frustration]

@Zinam: Good report. Definitely the specks of the i20 look good and I am impressed with the safety ratings for this hatch, the first in segment I guess. Anyways, I think this report would do more justice with some quality pics of the car.[;)]

my .20 $

i dont like to follow the mob thats the reason i never turned towards suzuki swift and thankfully i am still right.

next was i20 :-usp lies in fuel efficiency. i still laugh of my feet when i hear six airbags are ultimate safety feature . i loved the slick gear, driveable gear ratios, seating positions and foldable mirrors (is outstanding idea in a car of this price). yet braking didnt give me much confidence neither cornering nor handelling steering was too sensitive and light which felt over assisted leaving me in underestimation crisis. even though it felt sporty and jazzy below 100kmph post 100's perfomance were not all inspiring. this is were i20 looses .when it looses it looses upto the level of ritz which is much cheaper and value for money too.
ps:- safety lies in built quality, braking ,handelling and response of a vehicle.in these fields hyundai have much to travel and suzuki's are no where in the league !!

(my)subjective view:-i love i10 its so cute and innocent . but i20 looks confused and naive. swift looks mature , ritz looks futuristic but from behind it was hit by 20 ton truck, vista looks aggresive (similar to ford ikon),punto looks sleek and stylish from every angle (yet it have kind of obese appeal from behind). chevrolet beat look funky,..etc i think we should start a new topic on looks.
