Re: Hyundai Verna Fluidic SX (O) Experience

well finally i can rest in peace and have an evil grin. the car has more features then a merc c class the owner said that.
wanted to take her home by 2 but sadly the crtm wasnt completed and by 4 we got the number. A pooja some gifts chocolates and met the service advisors and dad wanted to drive her home i managed to drive her for a km and its very very very smoooooooooth. steering is so light my dad says he didnt find issues at speeds over 80 kmph. no noise besides a bit of road noise. soaks up bumps well dint scrape any speed bumps as yet. First full tank was at reliance and boy are they slow , filled in 40 litres sadly no premium fuel with them service advisors recommended premium fuels and if high octane is available use that though its minimum recommendation is 91ron 95 ron is for performance not sure if its true but will give 97ron a try. Instataneous Fe touched 16 on highway and then dropped to 12. distance to empty shows 600kms.
audio is nice but not crisp rear fills are extremely hopeless bhajans will play well on that i guess.
bluetooth streaming is awesome the hu has a speed dependent volume control option.
Ac is a mighty chiller the suction gas refrigerant pipe has the same diameter youd find in a 1 tonne home air con has a filter drier (see in the engine bay over hyundai logo on the engine) compressor is large, radiator fan has minimal noise engine is silent inside outside you wont know if its on if its idling, seats are comfy, car isnt bouncy like others said.
will write more when my dad gets over enjoying the car. cant say anything as its his money.
going for rto now and then modding and icing
more pics by night a proper write up will follow if i get to drive her today.

Re: Hyundai Verna Fluidic SX (O) Experience

these two days have been extremely tiring. to begin with the rto who are just money minded creeps need a choice number have to pay high. refuse and chuck your idea and then wait 4 days for your registration number. Straight from the rto the tires were changed guy paid 4k per tire for the bridgestones and 6853/tire for the yokos a drive r1
paid 14k after adjustments and then straight to the accessories shop the ride was extremely bouncy after changing the tires. The kicker 5ch amp i ordered hadnt come yet but the speakers hertz dsk 165 did so proceeded with the wiring and scuff plates etc. then the vkool guys came along and added the windscreen 70%vlt 94% solar rejection and sides n rears 50% vlt 64% solar rejection costed me 18k lots of improvement noticed this noon my rear dint get fried and car was cool ac is a chiller no doubt worked well without the films and works as its evening with films on.. worth it. changed my head bulbs to phillips xtreme vision and vast improvements throw is very very good and bright. the amp was then added in but the 5ch had an issue and the supplier was outta stock so settled for a 4ch amp. kept the front door speakers as i found them good the rear door was rated at 15w rms 25w peak. the hertz speaker fit in with no issues just a spacer used for mounting sound deadening material wasnt needed as i wouldn't listen at high volumes. after fine tuning the audio was more detailed and crisp, bass was crisp just right and excellent for me.
came home by 11 this morning took her to check the air it was at 40psi made it 30psi and now shes smooth as butter miserable thing is the fe its varying between 7-8.4 kmpl and the brakes take time to stop need to press harder then a light tap which is needed in other cars i guess since its new its this way.

detailed views after dinner

Re: Hyundai Verna Fluidic SX (O) Experience

sure ill try my best no issues man and thanks for letting me know. Cheers.

In my view the car is amazing, a definite head turner, everywhere we take her people either stare at her or come up and ask us about it. Neighbors loved the car entirely, dad cant get enough of it. The interiors are well designed, lots of space for the rear passengers, now i not a guy who sits in the back but when i did i felt extremely comfortable, the raised window-line is high short heighted people may find it bothersome but for me it felt like my privacy is maintained. The front seats are good a long drive would really show its comforts or not. The air conditioner is an extreme chiller, be it night or noon keep the ac on and step into her feels like heaven!
I was comparing the refrigerant pipe diameter of the cars air conditioner with my bedrooms 1tonne ac and they almost match each other. Nvh is bare minimum you wont know if the engine is running or not until you check the tachometer.
The ice guys as well as the tire guy had nothing but praises of the car.

performance and handling to follow next.
p.s: i will keep updating my views as its still very early to give concrete views

Re: Hyundai Verna Fluidic SX (O) Experience

performance:
the showroom guys recommended use of premium fuels and if possible use higher octanes to gain more performance, owners guide says minimum 91 ron or higher required so will give 97 ron a try. the car currently has 91 octane regular in the tank as there was no options. pickup is very good you feel pushed in your seats right from 1500 rpm but its more above 2000 rpm havent crossed 4k. Dealer says engine is run in at factory and oils changed there however i should go over 4k rpms never keep constant and change gears between 2-4k rpms for the first 1200 kms. first oil change is at 10000kms. Gears are very smooth and synchronized brakes are a tad soft i guess they need to get run in. Now the most talked about steering is smooth as butter very very helpful in cities at speed over 60 it gets a bit tight yet is sensitive moderate feedback but yes its controllable although it needs getting used to. we touched speeds till 130 and havent found any issues the suspension only gets bouncy if the road its very bad and bumpy at speeds over 75kmph. Im trying not to be biased and honest but i really did not find issues what people spoke of. the first time i drove it i was very uncomfortable with a bit nervousness second time i drove it i felt relaxed i felt as if the engine wanted to be pushed further my dad while driving it took it till 130 without knowing saw the speedo and got it to 100kmph. In my opinion the car handles not like fords but good and definitely not like wagon r.
Stock headlights were bad changed them and now their brilliant i dont see a need for hids. Horn seems flat but changing it needs bumper to be removed my hear dint want that. FE showed 14kmpl when we got her. tank took in 40l fuel 5 was added by the dealer. fuel was filled at 11kms and distance to empty showed 600kms car has been driven 106 kms since then and now it shows 406kms till empty and fe is showing 7.4kmpl. some gurus can answer why its drinking fuel like breezers? fueled from a reliance bunker will check with bharat this time tires are at 30psi checked in the morning acceleration is gradual not harsh and no clutch riding as its comfier on the foot rest than on the clutch. ac is 100% use at 17 degs c gears changed at 2.5k-3k rpms and highway use.

p.s: these are my views after driving her for 60kms and after tire change. dad says the grips and handling has improved since the change and the car has not kissed any breakers as yet.
