Re: Hyundai Verna Fluidic SX (O) Experience

Welcome Sumeet to the well of knowledge TAI. As far me concerned the verna is a very good choice and VFM. The only issue with it is its handling. But as nick said the hyundai has came out with solution and will be soon transfered to customers. Hope this happens soon and you will see other enthisiast will que up for that.

Re: Hyundai Verna Fluidic SX (O) Experience

Welcome Sumit on TAI.

vento and new skoda rapid are good cars , both are little better in handling then this. but in term of features and power both are far behind. In some recent reviews of skoda rapid i have seen , they said inspite of same engine in vento and rapid , rapid lacks power and little slower then vento.

Ford fiesta is best at handling as everybody said but again 90 bhp power is too less for this price range and compare to current indian market cars. Interior also looks cheap and like some sci-fi movie , feels like driving alien spaceship. The ugliest is the rear taillight design.
I never like ugly car. I still like old fiesta but new one is too ugly

for verna, hyundai has the best and cheap but good service in india , that you wont get in VW or skoda or ford. I agree with handing issues. Above 120 , slight undulation causes body roll. It's like muscle car that always have more power but difficult handling. just kidding. We are hoping that hyundai will come up with solution for suspension and so our babe will become best in power , handling and features.

But i still suggest you to take test drive of those cars as everybody has different choices.

Re: Hyundai Verna Fluidic SX (O) Experience

skodas oafter sales are kind of scary seen a few fighting legal cases against skoda the car is good any ways and there are people who are happy with their skodas. volkswagen has less service network but they have good services and is a bit higher say 5-7 thousand for a once a year service. fords cars a known fro handling but their spares are a bit high.
hyundai cars are disliked for handling but loved for the features and hassle free service but even then every car and manufacturer has some flaws you have to live with

Looking at growing demand for diesel car, govt rightly decided to increase the excise duty which will be paid for all imported diesel engines. The diesel engines of Hyundai are primarily imported from korea while their petrol engines are manufactured in India.

Hey Friends! Sumeet here...M New to the Forum..Its being Gr8 seeing Peoplel sharing Views and Knowledge here! Gr8 To be part of this Community!
First of all i would Like to Congratulate Nickandre and neil.vernafluidic for There New Cars...Both Looks Gr8! n m Sure U guys Are Enjoying it :)
well Even My Dad Also Planning to Buy a Car Suggested Him Verna Fluidic...Still have to Confirm the Choices..I will be Opting For Diesel. Anywayz I wanted to Ask What are the Main Difference Between the Top Two Variants in Diesel?
and what are the main Issues That Would Effect the Customer...Also how is the service of Hyundai?
Welcome to TAI. The verna is a good choice if you are not too bothered about sporty driving. Only problem is the low rear seating and Low ground clearance. The Diesel motor is really a performer and can easily give a run to a lot of petrol motor sedans. But make sure you have a test ride of all the cars in your perview to understand what you like about each car and then decide.

Re: Hyundai Verna Fluidic SX (O) Experience

ok verna guys i have some good news for yourll, my friend went to his service centre for his 1st free service with his verna. and he saw a test drive verna on the hydraulic lift having its spring coils being changed, so he questioned the service manager and his reply was hyundai has provided us with new spring coils for the verna for now we are instructed to change in our test drive cars and soon in vernas where customers are facing issues free of cost. Also he said something of a defective battery terminal which may be asked to be changed in warranty.
however please wait a few days so i can find something concrete or please check up with your dealers
Great news really. Will see how it turns to me when I go for 1st free service. I have driven 300 kms so far.

im not sure regarding its cost but should be below 3.5k its better you do alignment and balancing also if you are ready to spend more going in for a synthetic oil would be a good choice please check with the service centre if they have it or if you can get it from out

Re: Hyundai Verna Fluidic SX (O) Experience

two months since i got my beauty is almost up. Man does time flow fast, i remember time going so slow when i was waiting for her. As of today the odo stands at 2450kms and 320 litres of fuel. I really wished i had taken a diesel and today i had a chance to try out the diesel i was indeed blown away by the torque engine and bhps and also by the fe of 18kmpl. the only difference i found between a diesel and petrol verna is the clutch mine being lighter. I still loved the refinement in my engine and yes this diesel has scraped humps with three passengers while mine has touched one.
back to my car i kept noticing myself unconsciously bending down to view obstacles on the left like any cars coming etc then i realized its the inner rear view mirror that is obstructing the view. The suspension noise although minimized after re tightening its lower arm bolts still finds a dislike in me, the fe i must say miserable the only good fes i got is when using high octane fuels which is available 45kms away, Bps speed and shells super unleaded has given me 11-14 kmpl mostly highway runs and 8 in city. the rest gave me max 9kmpl highway run so i guess the engine is very sensitive to fuels, have read most other petrol owners have faced the same and even some have some unusual engine noise in third gear. Luckily i havent noticed this leaving some unusual noise i get while idling during a cold start which i never see other wise during the day. My oil level is a bit say less than 1mm below the max mark.
so far no issues other then a really embarrassing puncture which is better not described(neil i know you must be laughing hard on this)

Re: Hyundai Verna Fluidic SX (O) Experience

just back from a cruise around the area. Must say these xtreme visions are a blessing. i have some 90/100w in my aveo and still find it not so good. So i guess hids can wait till these conk of. Im normally a guy who just cant stand to stay or sleep without an ac so much so that my rooms air con is always at 16. The car on the other hand is always at the lowest and the only fiddling i do is with blower speed as my hands get frozen up while driving a very good ac but to early in the ownership. Cruised around with my audio of just enjoying the drive the only noise i got is on rough roads owing to my tire design. Since it was just a relaxing cruise as im an insomniac guy i drove light footed keeping revs below 2k and got max fe of 11kmpl its only while coasting on 5th gear it reached 13 and the second my foot touched the gas it reached 11kmpl again.
yeah there are a few things which i find a let down a few issues but yes the car is a winner to me. btw i have to check my handbrakes i drove fo while it was engaged feeling some resistance as i drove a few meters and saw the sign. i tried again pull it fully up and it did not move left it by a click and the car moved but with resistance.
i miss an ashtray and the cigarette lighter.
since i have more free time my goal now is to add more kms and provided reviews whenever needed.
And thank you guys for helping my thread cross 500+ posts i hope i have been of help to all.

Re: Hyundai Verna Fluidic SX (O) Experience

your puncture[lol]

btw what is the difference between your xtreme vision and those HID kits like OSRAM and all?
My old philips essential vision halogen bulbs needs relay. and i dont want to put it in this car. You told that your xtreme vision is without relay. so is it same with HID too ?

I am planning to put it next month. yesterday was coming back from city at night. there was mild raining and i was unable to see anything clearly in front of me. It was like there was no headlights in my car. I felt so unsafe. Stock bulbs are [frustration]
So it came to my safety unlike ICE things , for which my dad is definitely gonna give me money to upgrade bulbs.
