i think 1.4 EX comes with front arm rest. by the way how is the power delivery of 1.4 crdi. is it same as 1.6? or it struggles ?

Hello people, after a long time I'm visiting back again. I loved the verna exterior looks but now I sold it. I usually take long journey. I use to drive b/w 120 - 150. I lost confidence on verna while driving. Planning to buy Skoda new Octavia. Waiting for the launch! I was a verna addict but now I won't recommend this car for long journey. Its perfect for city driving.

Hi, 49K and sold for 8 L.k I thought its good price for that mileage and sold it immediately. Ex. Showroom price was 9.34 L.k.

Im getting 9l offered by a guy for my 25k driven vtvt. Getting the price as he finds the car in top condition plus he wants the amp and speakers. But i wanna hold on to the car for a few months more

I'm on vacations and brought the verna to a hill station for the first time.

Verna petrol sucks for hill climbing. We are 5 people and at Times it felt like there's not enough power while climbing.

Covered 300 kms, range shows around 70-100. Initial range was 550 kms. Drove above 120 at times.

I got VTVT SX (O) in Feb this year. Clocked around 2400 kms till now. The mileage has been awful it is not crossing 10 kmpl in any circumstances even a trip to Jaipur from Gurgaon, the mileage is not more than 10 kmpl. Another issue i am facing lately in this peak summer is the A/C. It takes lot of time to cool the cabin. sometimes more than 15 minutes. The Auto feature just keeps the blower going on at full speed and never comes down, even after 30 minutes of drive in afternoon. Is there any issue or is this normal ? Thanks.

the mileage will keep getting better as you cover more kilometers. service center guys told me this and the mileage is not getting better. read further.

and get the AC checked . i'm sure the AC gas level have come down for some reason. it happened with me as well. hyundai topped up free of charge.

guys did a 600 km trip. delhi - mussoorie- haridwar - Delhi.

mileage - 10 kmpl. are you freaking kidding me i agree some portion of the roads were bad but still just 10kmpl.

pick up-on hills - 5 persons with medium luggage. at times i had to downshift to 1st gear to climb uphill my friends were teasing me like anything.

pick up on mountains sucks big time.

Congrats on the new car. But one thing...Do you reset the mileage indicator at every fill? or on a start of a long trip?

If you dont reset it, it will take all the messed up city average into highway average and it shows less. Reset and drive for a few miles without AC, then check the difference. After reseting, dont keep reseting until the next fill(highway use only).

Thanks for the feedback. I never knew Verna is so bad that guys sold it ! Don't know about petrol but diesel is quite good. And yes, when it comes to long journeys, ride quality & handling, nothing beats the germans. If priced right, I am sure, Octy can give some competition to verna for sure (in diesel ofcourse).

Octy will come in elantra price band and not the verna , as its a Laura replacement .
