So just when the day ends I write about the latest possession for my verna - The Koizer Bucket mats and to my sweetest surprise they shipped beige color in an awesome packaging. I will be putting the images soon but trust me the quality is fabulous. It has fitted great. It has anti slip pads, velcro attachments and loops. I am so relieved that my decision paid off pretty well. Pictures I will add to this post tomorrow. Peace!

Today finally have got the ICE upgraded with

Focal Solid 4 Channel Amp
Focal PS165 2 Way Comps for Front
Focal 165CA Coaxials for Rear
Soundgate HiLo Converter
Cables etc.

So I have kept the stock HU and sound quality has become better BUT Bass is gone!!!

The beats have become very clear and I can hear sounds that I could not hear from stock speakers but then stock speakers were with good bass.

The treble had to be toned down a lot as Focals are always high on pitch. So did settings with crossover and settled the pitch.

Now I think a Sub is required and I don't know how I will manage for that as I have already extended my budget by installing Focal Coaxials at the rear. All 4 speakers are on 4 channels now. To add a sub will need a mono amp also. Don't know how much is that going to cost and help.

Now installer spoiled two things for me and I am very upset

1. He did little damage to the Dashboard lining next to the wooden console while he was trying to take out the stock HU to install HILO converter. I shouted so bad at him. So if you notice the grains on dashboard in the texture, he spoiled those grains from 3-4 places. Although he used a fiber tool to take it out still he did spoil (I will click some pics and will put)

2. He installed Tweeters by cutting the Original Tweeter Grill!!! I had completely lost my mind on that. This was not at all what I had expected. I am going to ask him to install tweeters inside but I wonder since he has already cut the grill, how will he get new grills now? Anyone know the part code or is it available easily? I think I will have to settle for this arrangement in worst case.

So in a nut shell, I am not very happy with the deep bass gone out of system and wondering if should go back to Hyundai set up and use these in my new WagonR with Pioneer HU. Also I was getting some humming sound while accelerating but that has been reduced by changing the HiLo converter.

Guys Please suggest, I am not in a very positive mood after all this!!!

Ha ha...well as I mentioned that these happened while driving...stones bounced from other cars had hit...the mats are indeed very good and I got these from Snapdeal. It is available at 1750 but I had a 200 off coupon so used that, effectively paid 1550. [clap]

Sumzupdis do you find the stock headlight throw sufficient ?[confused]
It for sure is not the brightest and can be upgraded but when used with fog lamps I find it to be sufficient for night driving. I have seen lot of threads where owners of verna have gone for an upgrade. It is not an expensive proposition so you can give it a try. For me I dont see it happening soon at least for next 1 year :-)

Temporarily, I have upgraded my headlight to Hella H4 90/110w bulb until I find stock projectors or any good aftermarket projectors.[:D]
How is the light and how much did you actually pay? Is it possible to replace on our own if ordered from online website? The other day I was driving and I just could not see one block of road damaged due to low light. Since my driving is a mix of highway and city, hence would like to opt for high brightness lamps. Confused between Osram, Hella and Philips. How do you decide what wattage lamps would be good. I read some good reviews about Osram.

I dint go much into it sumzupdis ; I went to a local decor shop and said my query and chose hella to Philips [;)] .I paid 700 including labour charges. I read in reviews like osram is good . Why not try projectors instead [glasses].
